2008 Titans

He got hurt four plays after having to be forced back into the game by Fisher. That is a fact. All you Vince Young lovers chew on that one for a while. Your great leader wanted to QUIT on his team in the freaking middle of the game.

ESPN radio had a great quote from one of the Titans' defensive players this morning that said, "Nobody on the defense quit."

I'm far from a Vince Young lover - I just want some proof of it besides people speculating those were the circumstances... there could have easily been other reasons. It's a over blown rumor until someone actually has a story on it. You can't give me "he was just mad and didn't go back in" - a lot of things could have occurred which you don't know about which makes it look a lot worse than it may be.

google ESPN or check the tivo for the game footage then. I'm not the errand boy here. I just comment on what I saw on National tv, and what I've heard on every freaking talk show that 1150 am KZNE The Zone, also known as the local ESPN affiliate staion has broadcast. He pouted like a girl, Fisher ripped him, he went back in, 4 plays later he's out for 2-3 weeks.

Still don't know the circumstances and all of the talk about it has been speculation on what actually occurred as well (exact same thing going on here).. And yes - it's a proven fact pouting = faking injury in your near future.

Are you incapable of looking for yourself? You apparently have a computer, so what exactly is the problem. It's detailed in articles ALL OVER the internet. You want an example? HERE!

FOX Sports on MSN - NFL - Vince Young's mother: QB 'hurting inside and out'

"His mental state has been in question since being booed Sunday after his second interception during the Jacksonville game. He didn't want to go back into the game until prodded by Fisher.

He sprained the medial collateral ligament in his left knee four plays later and could be out for up to four weeks. Fisher said Tuesday night he is only ruling Young out for Sunday's game at Cincinnati."

You don't comprehend well. But just forget it.

What's your deal? You don't believe the reporters that have been interviewing the Titans' team members and coaches? You don't find it strange that all of the stories say the same thing? You don't find it strange that radio stations are playing interviews with Titans' defensive players saying that nobody on the defense quit?

Vince Young is a quitter.

No - that's not it. It's obvious it happened. But none of the reports have really gotten to the bottom of it or went into detail about the circumstances around it. It's obviously a bad situation anyway you look at it (and I don't think VY has a future with the Titan's) - but could easily be made out to be a lot worse than it is.

Just exactly WHAT ELSE do you want them to say? On ESPN Radio on Sirius they stated that Vince Young missed a pass to a wide open Chris Johnson on a 3rd down play that Johnson would have easily been able to take in for a touchdown. Boos rained down from the home crowd as Vince Young left the field. Vince Young then went off to the side and sat on the bench. When his defense stopped the opposing team, 10 players for the Titans offense went to take the field. Fisher had to go over and ream Vince Young for him to get his sorry ass off the bench and back into the game. He didn't want to go back in the game.

Whatever there is to say about it. Good or bad.

I'm sure there's easily more to it.

Unbelievable! It's not like they had a long sit-down conversation. There's a little thing in the NFL called the play clock that gets in the way of a long-winded sideline conversation with your quarterback that is trying to abandon his teammates in the middle of the game.

Never said they did. I guess what I'm looking for is Vince's excuse or comment to all this or what was going on in his head.

Oh. I see now. You want Vince Young's excuse, so then you can move forward, forgive him, and ignore the fact that he tried to abandon his teammates in the middle of a game because he didn't like getting booed by the hometown crowd.

I am tired of this dude. Let him go back to Texas and be a QB coach for Mack Brown. He is a bust, imagine the boos he would have heard if he played for Philly, New York Jets or Redskins. He is in one of the three easiest markets in the NFL and can't take the pressure. What a waste, I hope we draft somebody next year.

You're kidding right? I've never been a VY fanatic or anything close. I've supported him when he's done well but I'm not stupid - he's plain horrible at this point and I'd rather have 31 other QBs in the league.

Really? Kyle Orton? Really? Tavarres Jackson?

Yeah, I've been a Bush haterrrrr ever since he got in the NFL but hey he sure can make people look dumb on a swing pass.

We have threads about replacing Fulmer so I'll go ahead and ask. What QB's will be in the draft in 2009 or any free agents? Who will be replacing VY? I hate to do this but I am curious as to who is out there.

Tebow, but y'all are good enough to where you won't get him when he comes out

Chase Daniel

I'd like reesing if he were taller. i think he's got "it" just maybe not the height, same with harrell

They are about the same.

I still can't believe VY won ROY over MJD. They just had to give it to Lienert, Bush, or VY. That was BS.

he took a team from 0-5 to 8-8, of course they were going to give him rookie of the year that year; that's amazing for any rookie qb to do, especially considering that titans team had the 2nd worst defense in the league and was picked to win no more than 3 games...

also, i think leinart wasnt even in the running for it and Jones-Drew came in second. But this award's for how they perform their rookie year, not how their career is
