2008 Titans

It's obvious he's not used to dealing with it. I wish nothing bad on the guy, but they're never going to win anything with him as qb.

I've heard someone talking about him acting like a jerk when kids were trying to get his autograph in Nashville somewhere, but who knows. Fact is,there are plenty of people who would take his place in a heartbeat. Still, when there's talk of suicide you worry.

He may have his problems on and off the field... but this really isn't one of him.. one of the nicer guys around fans.

I too have heard nothing but positive comments from people that I know that have met Vince Young. However, if he really has these types of issues, probably the best thing that he could do for his own personal health is to retire with the millions of dollars that he has already made and is contractually owed and find himself a really good therapist. A job as a starting QB in the NFL is not a conducive to healing the emotional problems that this young man is apparently facing, and it won't get any easier going forward if he stays in the league. I do not think he is a good quarterback, but I do wish him well.

Well - atleast (maybe/hopefully) the Titans will crush the Bengals tomorrow to get another underwhelming Vol performance off my mind... let the Collins era begin (what the heck.. he's so old?)

don't look now, but the Titans have actually scored more than 20 points.

The Bungles missed FG was funny, but the FG made by the Titans on the ensuing drive would have been a miss had the goal posts not been blown to the left by the wind.

Nice win today for the Titans, although the Bengals are a horrible team. Good to see Collins direct the offense and the recievers actually caught the ball pretty well.

Hope they can play well again next week and go 2-0 in the division vs. the Texans.

MJD had 15TD's and over 2000 all purpose yards that year. He had 900 yards rushing, he was the ONLY one that deserved the award.

And vince threw for 2199 yards and 12 tds, while running for 552 yards and 7 tds...so a total of 2751 all purpose yards 19 TDs that year. Combine that with having success in the toughest position for a rookie to come straight in and play, going 8-5 that season as the starting qb as a rookie, carrying a team that was supposed to win 3 games and have its coach fired to 8-8 and in playoff contention, and even that the titans could possibly make the playoffs while the jags couldnt that year. Altogether, yes he very much deserved it; i hate to say this but he probably had it wrapped up 2 weeks before the season was over.

I know we wont agree b/c jones-drew's your boy and the jags are your team, and i mean neither any disrespect, but simply he put up better numbers at a much tougher position for a rookie and had that success on a terrible team (the titans defense was near bottom of the league that year...i think 31st, so it wasnt bailing him out).

Again, I like JD and he's a very good player, an even better one now, definitely better than vince at this state. while MJD had a great rookie season, he didnt have the best that year.

Since you guys were talkin draft earlier, i hope that if anyone, they'd get crabtree or harvin coming out early...either of those 2 could dramatically improve the receiving core.

Course they wont pick a wr now that they're bringing up hawkins, but still i can dream

Harvin will struggle in the NFL. He'll get smashed at the line of scrimmage. Physical corners will give him huge problems.

I'd take any WR that can play. I'll take Harvin, Gerald Jones, and that guy from Mizzou. I can't remember his name. Anyway, Jags need a WR BAD.
