2008 Titans

Cortland Finnegan is gonna have to shut him down twice a year if Holt signs with the Jaguars? Let’s trade for Boldin or draft a wide receiver?

They'll probably draft a WR but it'll be like a 2nd day pick like a 3rd or 4th rounder.

And holt will go to highest bidder, which will probably depend on the draft too...if jags do get someone like crabtree or maclin and they are felt (by jags) to be able to start immediately, then you might see them avoid raising their offer to holt (presuming they have made one)...

Yeah though, I just saw the thing about the jags be close to a deal w/ holt. Lot of writers think this thing isnt that close to being a done deal yet. We have also seen close end in a walk-away too (titans-rams trade talks), so just wait and see

Scratch that. Holt signed with Jags about an hour ago. Meaning Jags have taken care of their priorities of nother WR and a tackle. So draft should leave them with either a DT (raji still there?) or most likely the titans will be guarding a combo of Holt and Crabtree/Maclin come their second meeting

What if Chris wells is still there? do you draft him and trade LWhite? I would in a min. unless DHBey was there.

Absolutely not. Beanie Wells is overrated, and we need receivers. Darius Heyward-Bey is the way to go.

Or we could try and trade up to get Sanchez at QB, but he's most likely not worth it.

All we need is another wr with hand issues, anyone remember Calico? There are only two wr that are not a HUGE gamble in this draft, and neither one of those Bey or Harvin. Better to wait until the third round or so if your going to take a gamble at wr and actually get some value for that gamble.

If Harvin's available then get him. No way we take a running back. Defensive line most likely.

Defensive line is the way to go in the first round. I know Harvin has all the intangibles but we need a solid #1 receiver, Harvin is not that guy.

Calico had first year rookie hands but was developing and had shown big strides by the start of his second year. His biggest issue was getting horse-collar tackled by roy williams, tearing both his ACLs, and not being able to recover from it

I'd be fine with them picking harvin, but I don't think they'd go to him after all the recent issues. Pacman's still too recent of a think for them to not worry about any player w/ a mark against them

If Percy Harvin is still on the board.......:)

He will be and they won't take him :)

His rookie hands lasted well into his last year with the Titans, he showed great work ethic in working to solve that problem but I know first hand from a trainer there that Calico's hands were considered a big problem (by the staff) up until his departure from the team.

You are correct about his ACLs leading to his short stint with the Titans but Titans staff admitted they reached on him and would not do so again, at least in private.

I don't think Harvin is going to be there when we're on the clock.

Like I said, DHB should be the target guy, unless a small miracle happens and Sanchez falls to 30.

Either a WR or a quarterback should be our main priority at this point.

I wish the Titans would either start wearing their white pants with their columbia blue jerseys or go back to the navy jerseys as the main home jerseys. I don't care for the columbia blue jerseys/navy pants combo and I certainly hated the all columbia blue look. That looked like NFL Europe crap.

I don't know why they won't wear the white pants with the columbia blue jerseys. Is it because it would look too much like the Oilers? If that's the case that makes no sense because they have the columbia blue pants that they wear with their white jerseys and that combo looks like the old Oilers' road uniforms.
