The more i see the more i like. He is a physical guy. Watch is highlights. I trust the titans here. You have to after their last 2 first rounders
Arizona would not return the titans calls until today and when they did call they indicated they were not interested in trading him. Fisher addressed it in an interview following the Britt pick.Titans are on the clock next.
Dammit Titans, trade that f'ing pick for Boldin already.
I "LOL'd" when Britt was drafted and his weakness or AFI was catching passes/dropping balls. Like we haven't had enough dropped balls the past few years..
But what was puzzling was that under his strength - his speed was also listed...
It's an interesting pick; not really good nor bad; maybe develops into a good possesion WR later in his career.
(Was Mason really ever a speedy WR? Never seemed too much to be...). He just needs to catch the balls.
Not giving a burst that the team needed, but there really wasn't anyone there at that pick to do that. And we probably won't see anymore WRs now that we took one 1st
Worrisome now though is that a CB wasnt taken in 1 or 2, and the team needs the depth there (and possibly a future starter too). Now 3rd could maybe give a decent CB backup for a few plays, but if say harper gets hurt again (knocking on wood he doesn't), there's really no one on the roster who anyone would be comfortable having as starter till he's healthy.
4.5 is not bad. He has quick feet and runs good routes which should allow him to get open and do what he does best....run after the catch. Washington is going to be the guy that stretches the field and if Britt works out he will be the other missing piece of the WR core....a physical possesion WR with good YAC ability. The lack of great hands does scare me but he was easily the best WR left on the board. I really wish Nicks had fallen one more spot but if they were dead set on a WR Britt was the best pick.Well, can honestly say I don't know much about the kid, but looks like a possession receiver. 6'3" is nice, but the 4.5 40-time isn't good. Doesn't give this offense another gamebreaker, which it desperately needs to go along with Johnson. CB needs to be addressed in Rd. 2.
They have had their fair share of early round busts in recent years but the Finnegan and Roos type players on the roster easily make up for them.Griffin and Johnson turned out nicely, but the Titans don't have a very good track record in the draft. Chris Henry was a bust from a few years back. They've made some very questionable picks over the years.
I would have been much more comfortable picking a MLB there instead of a WR.
Fisher's D system though has never really worked though around having your D playmaker at MLB (not sure worded right). I thought about it when I saw Maluga still there, but the titans always like a smaller and quicker role player - like they have there with tulloch - than say having a Ray Lewis style build around MLB D. Just their style.

Sweet... not. Would have been much happier with a LB or that Boldin trade and take Wells.. Wells would have been much better to have than Lendale... no more of that constantly getting hit in the backfield and losing 4 yards because he has no acceleration.
If Nicks was still there or the speedster Oakland took - I would have been fine with a WR... or even the long shot that Harvin was available.
