If anything, this is the QB from that combine I could see us going after
PQB Austin Hinder, 6-5/180, Steamboat Springs (Colo.) High
ASSETS: Has excellent height, a strong arm and excellent accuracy.
AREAS FOR IMPROVEMENT: Needs to add at least 25 pounds and continue to get stronger.
WHAT WAS MOST IMPRESSIVE AT COMBINE: Had some of the best footwork and tightest spin on his passes of any quarterback in this event.
CONCLUSION: There is no doubt that Hinder will be one of the top pro-style quarterback prospects in the entire nation. As he continues to physically mature his arm strength will get even better.

I'd like to get Brunetti, but idk, it just doesn't seem too likely

He's only a junior.

Yeah but he's will be 19 before next season starts so his high school eligibility is up, and by the way it is not because he is a dumb kid. MUS ask parents to hold thier children back a year when they first come to MUS.

Last season, Memphis (Tenn.) University School had a good football team, finishing a respectable 7-4 in Tennessee's competitive private school division.

During the season, sophomore quarterback Barry Brunetti began the progression into varsity action. He split snaps and did some on-the-job training, displaying impressive athleticism in the process.

The physical Brunetti has developed as a passer.
As a junior this season, Brunetti has taken over as the fulltime starter for the Owls and he has propelled them to an undefeated season.

"We're basically just keeping it balanced between passing and running every game," Brunetti said of the offense. "Most games we've been blowing people out. There's only been two or three games where I've played the whole game."

With Brunetti at the helm, MUS is averaging more than 40 points and has been doing it against some formidable opponents, including local public school power Memphis Melrose and Mississippi juggernaut Olive Branch High School.

This season's success began last season.

"Last year I was more of the Tebow-type," Brunetti said. "I came in last year and ran more in the short yardage. I was more of the running quarterback. During the season last year, the coach always told me he wanted to start me as a sophomore but he didn't think I was ready. After the season, I knew I was going to start as a junior, so I ran every day and worked on my passing every day."

Brunetti (6 feet 2/210 pounds) has a strong frame and great speed, and always has been a threat with the ball in his hands. This season, Brunetti is proving that he is a passer, too, something he always has been confident about.

"My accuracy has always been good," he said. "Mostly it was just mechanics, so every day I worked on my mechanics, worked on my mechanics, over and over. I've always had good accuracy and a strong arm."

The taste of varsity action seems to have paid off. Not only has MUS found success as a team but Brunetti has found a comfort level behind center, throwing for nine touchdown passes and rushing for 14 more.

"I feel very comfortable this year," he said. "It's easy to me. I know all the defenses. It's real easy to me this year. Most of the teams that play me, they think run first. I have so many teams busting up with eight or nine in the box, and that's where my passing comes in. Now, with me being balanced, it's hard for them to do what they want to do."

Though Brunetti is likely to be an elite prospect in the class of 2010, he is still waiting for that first official offer.

"A lot of schools are very close," he said. "Tennessee, LSU, Alabama, Texas Tech, Clemson, Stanford, Georgia Tech, Oregon – I like them all. But I really like Florida. I've been liking them for a while. Right now, I just look at all of the teams that are recruiting me and just watch them and watch who they are. What kind of offense do they run? What kind of coaches and what kind of fans do they have? I love the fan base."

This season, Brunetti has had the opportunity to catch a couple of college games on unofficial visits. He has been to games at Memphis and Tennessee and hopes to get to LSU before the season is out. His trip to Knoxville to see Tennessee play Northern Illinois left him with a strong impression.

"What I love about Tennessee is their fan base," he said. "Whether they're bad or good, they always support them. I like Tennessee. That's a nice place."

The offers will come soon enough for Brunetti, but until they do, he has a state championship run to focus on.

"The coaches tell us every day that we have a chance at doing something special but we try to never overlook a team," he said. "Every week it's 0-0 and we're focusing on that."

Anybody heard of a 2010 recruit at QB named John Fredrick (sp?) out of Indiana?

His 2008 Junior season highlights will be up on Youtube in the next week or so...

Here are some highlights from his #3 and #4 WRs if you want to see some more now.

YouTube - Jake Knecht

YouTube - William Chandler

And for those of you that are worried about him leaving for a mission and losing talent, that won't happen. This kid is incredibly driven, and he never lets any of the publicity go to his head. Wherever he goes, he will win. In a radio interview he said that he wants to make his decision before his senior season starts, so that he will have time to get on the phones and start recruiting guys to go with him, which will likely include his current #1 WR, sophomore Kasen Williams (should be one of the top WRs in the country for his class, his highlights will be up on youtube in the next week or so as well).

I just thought of something, can he take a redshirt, go on the mission, and come back with 4 years of eligibility?

And I think I've already seen some highlights of Kasen. Is he #1 on the team in all of Jakes highlights? He looks like he's gonna be a stud as well. I'll check out the other WRs though.

Hes #1 as in the best WR on the team, his jersey number was 86 as a freshman, and 3 as a sophomore.

jersey #1 is Gino Simone, an 09 grad that committed to WSU.

He looks pretty solid for only being a 3* athlete. He looks a little underrated to me.

And #3? Alright, I'll try to find him in Jakes highlights.

All the highlights are posted by the same person, so you can just check under his videos. Jake and Kasen's 2008 highlights will be up in the next week or so.

"LSU is still my favorite," Maclin said for the third time in four months. "It's just them right now. The last time I talked to Les Miles was when I went down to see them play Alabama. I talked to coach (Larry) Porter probably a couple of weeks ago.

"Tennessee came up to the school before Christmas break," he said. "They seem like they're going to be better in the next couple of years with all the people they're hiring. I shook Kiffin's hand when he came up to the school but he couldn't really say much to me."

Coaches cant make "contact"(ex. call, mail, and talk) to recuits until after the class infront of them graduates. I know thats a fact.

This kid is a 2010 prospect who could very likely be one of, if not the top LB in the 2010 class. He lives in Tennessee and has 4.5 speed, which is just what Monte Kiffin is looking for. He's previously said that LSU was his leader, but with them getting Chavis and UT getting Monte that may change things. If we land a big fish like Justin Maclin early in the class, other Tennessee recruits could follow.
