I know at least as much as you, smartass. You asked who his competition was. I answered. Specifically at the French Open and without looking it up, there were probably some other clay specialists I have forgotten about. I will still take the competition during his day against the players now. There may be more quality players now, but there were more top tier players then.
You listed Ashe for Gods sake and included McEnroe who served and volleyed on freaking clay. The comp was so weak that McEnroe made multiple finals.

I was talking about his competition on the tour. Not just at the French. Borg played several matches against Ashe in his early playing years. The year Ashe won Wimbledon, he beat Borg in the semis.

If you're talking just on clay surfaces, I will stil take Borg over Rafa. I repeat, Borg won six of them

Borg never beat anyone as good as Federer.

Please try to keep up. We were talking about clay courts, period.

This Ted Robinson commentator kills me. I would rather listen to Buddy Baker call the match.

These last two games show why it's so unbelievable no one cares about pro tennis. I am shaking after that break and hold. Great way to spend a Friday.

Too rare that the best are playing in an event that matters.

Sweet drop shot under pressure then an awful error.

Fantastic match. Good feelings from this will be crushed after a Nadal win on Sunday though. Should be a good one though.

2nd I've ever been into a tennis match (admittedly don't watch much tennis).

Tremendous! What a set! Djokovic will be a player all season long but this one belongs to Fed.
