2013 F Austin Nichols (Memphis Briarcrest)

That clown is a net surfer who takes all the information he reads and puts it together to form a puzzle and throws in "from close to the family" or "within the program" to make it appear accurate. Just like the Chievous bs.
He knows nothing first hand, or even second hand, about the situation.

I know, he is no more of an insider than I am. LOL

Most say there was an altercation, but all the broke nose, jaw, and jaw being wired shut was not true. His source is obviously no source. Just a some memphis homer apparently.

Sorry guys, back to Nichols

Exactly. I completely buy that there was a fight and possibly a broke nose. But there was absolutely not a broke jaw, sorry but that would still be something that was in recovery.

We'll lose Maymon and Hall, and good chance we lose Stokes. So, yeah, I can see him starting even if we get Charles Mitchell.

Brainfart. I forgot about Maymon being gone. Then yes, he would be in a fight for a starting role. Nichols can't play the 5 defensively in the SEC.

Haha it's Friday not unusual for most people to get one.

I'd guess if stokes is here stokes plays the 5

If its just Mitchell here Mitchell plays 5

If its just yemi then yemi plays the 5

I agree under no scenario Nichols plays the 5, and the only scenario I see him not starting is if Mitchell AND stokes are here.

Agree. He can play good 4 at 6'8/230. What is he now? 6'8/215?

just for a little sidenote. His teammate is the son of Sean Tuohy and is going to Loyola. Of course the name is famous from the Blind Side

He should be 230+ after another year. His shoulders aren't as narrow as some have reported. They are squared off pretty well.

How athetlic is he? I've seen film of him, but any kid looks athletic with those.

So the guy that comes into the thread and makes outlandish statements with the intention of getting attention now wants to be the good guy. I thought delusional was a strong accusation, but it may have hit the mark.

Look man, if you guys don't want the information I can offer, that's your prerogative. I can lead a horse to water, but I can't make it drink. I'm respectful of the Vols, and I think I endure the Memphis criticisms rather well, all things considered.

I've never claimed to be an insider, I only claim to pass along information that I hear which Vol fans may be interested in. it's not always favorable to the Vols, but it's not always disfavorable. I was on here telling you that Stokes was headed to Knoxville back in early December.

My statements are only outlandish to you because they may upset your personal view of your program, Memphis' program, Kentucky's program or college bball in general. That's not really a problem in which I have an interest.

What's he need to improve on most?

Getting stronger and a post up game with little jump hooks could make him nasty. He can run the floor. He is a 2 foot or a 1 foot jumper, which is something I have always looked at. Many times, players can't do both well, but he can, which gives you more options to finish.

The big key is he doesn't bring the ball down below his hips, ala kenny hall, when he gets it. If he gets on offensive board, it's back up on the square quickly or a dunk. If he gets a d board, it's up high with his elbows out for a good outlet pass position.

Thanks.

I think he would be a great addition to the VOls.

Jmo on Nichols fwiw...

Adding a consistent 18 ft jumper would really help his game as well. His range last I read was a bit limited, but with another year I'd look for that to definitely improve.

One of his supposed biggest strengths is passing out of the post. That would be nice to see. Sounds like a very hi IQ player.

Says the guy that is being called out for his BS by numerous posters. Easiest way to bow out gracefully is to change the subject YOU started.

Lulz, that's why I love you guys. Tenacity.

It's not BS simply because you don't want to believe it, sir.

Now, as another kind poster stated, back to Austin Nichols.
