We dug ourselves out in spite of him and his policies.

Fauci and CDC recommendations that have also been all over the place and have taken every stance they could take. Trumps rips them for that and gets the "we can't work with a president that is against science" treatment.

Better recommendations? Like what? Lockdown don't work. Living a normal life? Idk Sweden is trending up now aren't they? Deaths are down, which is good. But what recommendations would have changed the outcome to better the economy and fatalities. Please tell

The CDC and other agencies tasked with emergency medical and general emergency preparedness were woefully unprepared - it's the nature of bureaucracies and particularly those who've been fortunately unchallenged and absolutely unmanaged. However, covid seems to have changed from what looked like a rampant demon - for whatever reason. Leadership almost always starts out with kneejerk reactionary policy, but the early look from many aspects made the fatality rate look much worse than what we're seeing now - whether due to moderation or having wiped out the most vulnerable. I'd probably fault Trump more from not shutting down international travel more broadly and earlier, but all things considered, even thinking of doing that was a semi apocalyptic step. Our greatest vulnerability had more to do with limitations in the health industry management - just in time logistics, dependence on foreign supply (particularly China), reduced inventory and availability based on normal needs rather than an epidemic. If FEMA didn't have huge stockpiles of those supplies, then exactly what does FEMA do? If heads don't roll when things calm, there is no justice and we are truly a nation of incompetents.

Twitter, however, denied the report. “We’ve seen no evidence to corroborate this claim, including from the article published in the Netherlands today. We proactively implemented account security measures for a designated group of high-profile, election-related Twitter accounts in the United States, including federal branches of government,” a Twitter spokesperson said in a statement.

My argument is the hindsight should have taken place in April/May

You have an idea how to time shift Sep/Oct information to that time period so that hindsight becomes available information to act on? Most of us would be genius caliber with the ability to see into the future.

We had enough info in April/May to make the changes necessary to get us moving again. Unfortunately we lacked a cohesive message or leadership
