To me, proving election fraud, whether digital or not, would be much easier to prove than voter fraud.
Here’s a good read for you:Madison and Hamilton were the chief proponents of the EC.
Social security number maybe? All social security numbers for the living are automatically registered to vote. Would also help against fraud, as if someone tried to vote and their vote had already been cast, then some clear tomfoolery has taken place. Also, being able to check that your vote was counted properly after the fact would protect against potential vote changes. How would that work?
Actually the small state/big state issue was only part of it. Slavery was another. These were complex things, but even you brought up the 3/5 compromise which is directly tied to the EC. Like it or not, slavery was something that factored into the decision to create the EC. Without it the southern states wouldn’t have enough eligible citizens to matter. The EC wasn't devised to protect slavery it was devised to protect the less populated states. The 3/5ths compromise is another story altogether but even CT and MA supported the EC.
How do they determine where you live? Since voting goes down to the officials in your precinct residence and all?Social security number maybe? Compulsory registration is not automatic registration. In fact the article below lists repercussions for the individual not registering. Which is ludicrousJust like it works in 90% of other democracies. Old enough to vote? Eligible to vote? You’re registered to vote. That simple.

Just like some of the northern states as I already pointed out. The EC helped more than the southern states.Actually the small state/big state issue was only part of it. Slavery was another.
