Constitution, world policy, US policy. You must pass 2 of 3. The policy passing would just be oulining the actual stances of their candidates matched to their websites.

The Electoral College was put in place because the leaders at that time thought the majority of people weren't smart enough to put the correct people in place to run the country. It was about control. They had to insure that the people couldn't vote in some zealot that got them whipped up into a frenzy. The electors were hand picked so they knew they would try and do the right thing. It's a shell of what it originally was.

And, it was also a tool that gave each state a voice and prevented someone from just campaigning in a handful of large metro areas to get the popular vote. The candidates must take into account the needs of the smaller states and not just focus on getting votes in cites.

I would simply like for a person to show up with a valid ID that is a citizen of that jurisdiction.

Seems like we can't even get the Dems to agree on this basic concept.
