Weather Channel has Omaha, Nebraska weather Sunday as 41% chance of thunderstorms and 14 mph SW wind. Sooooo, if the game is delayed from 2 pm due to lightning in the area, would they delay both games? Anyone know what the weather procedure is for CWS? I hope we get the game in on time. I also hope that SW wind carries a boatload of our homers over the fence and we win in a rout. When is the game between Miss State/ND vs Texas and the final game against Vanderbilt?
This will not happen and the bracket, dates, and times are set. ESPN does not consider Saturday game more valuable than Sunday Games. That's what we "think" but even John Wilkerson said on post game show that this is not set in stone.
ESPN may wish to flip the dates on the bracket- common sense be damned
Recall they will start a west coast or mountain time NFL playoff game at 1:00 pm but make the Patriots on East Coast play at night in 20 below weather because of ratings only. Fans and teams be damned.
In other words, it's possible that they may call the Vols' bracket #1. The NCAA has been careful not to say which side of bracket is #1 and which is #2 because of their TV partners having a say on game times.
No!! The National Seeds get home field in the first game then it is Coin flips determines home field then as the CWS moves along it’s teams that have not been home twice in a row get automatic home field unless 2 met then it is coin flip again. PS: Tennessee is NOT playing Texas. They play Virginia.Since Texas is a higher seed do they get any advantage like batting second?
