Hmm...well we obviously have the 8 seniors, Senzel...then Cammarata and Harris, but we have 15 guys coming in this class assuming Carter doesn't make it...so we have to make some room anyway. I mean, obviously we're gonna hear more names since we only had 6 players in the 2017 class until getting the 7th today.

Where is the release on Thornton? I googled and "twittered" and can't find it.

Does 2017 signee mean he comes to school in 2017 or he comes to school this fall and plays this season 2017?

Is Lingo expected to sign?

Also, can we have updated list with the new commitments listed if possible.

His father said he was going to college yesterday, he got drafted today. Last year, 2015, a MSU commit got drafted in the 40th round...and went to MLB...IMO, it ain't over till it's over. That's the difference between college baseball and other college sports. You have to want to go to college, some don't.

Even if he were to sign, which wouldn't be ideal for us, if he is the only one we lose, then that is still a great haul.

Agree, absolutely...everybody thought he was gone and some others and given the situation it's worked out better than expected...still have to keep them though.

Yep. We have to have difference makers. I was amazed to see how we were in most games this year against teams where there was a huge talent gap. UF had 2 pitchers go in the 1st round.

Will be huge in Pence gets on campus too if he lives up to his billing.

I think we are seeing Simcox's positive effect on recruiting as this class looks more SEC caliber with size and ability than Serrano's first 4 classes.

How I see it as well. CDS may be able to pull it out of the fire if all goes well next season. Would prefer he do well from here on out and not have to hire a new guy.

Tried to tell you guys the contract wasn't a big deal in terms of recruiting

Elite talent last night and then this today. This kid just won MVP for team team tennessee in the sunbelt classic. A team full of elite commits

@EvanRussell_4: Blessed and excited to announce that I have officially verbally committed to University of Tennessee! @Vol_Baseball https://t.co/EbAIleaact

He plays SS for his HS team. I wonder what we want him as. He was awesome in the State Tourney this year. He plays in A ball in west TN.

Also, Trammell was the 4-hole hitter on Team Tennessee with Russell hitting 5th.
