2022 recruits we know of that...

Have visited:

Justine Pissott (2) Committed

Have not visited:

Talaysia Cooper (5) (visiting in September)
Amiya Jenkins (29) (visiting 10-12 September)
Kyla Oldacre (5) (visiting in September)

Updated to remove several targets. Wish them the best. From what several other posters have said, we are down to three plus Justine.

Your analysis of a Paige Beukers and Rae is not even close to fair ! But I agree with you that a number 1 or number 3 or4 recruit over Rae would normally be a better scenario than any #46 recruit ! I don’t think we have a choice of a top recruits right now ? But we have to believe Kellie can find some more Rae Burrell’s in our commits ! I think Wynn is one of those and she was not in the top 50’s ! Seen her play in Nashville. Good athlete, with good potential! We shall see ? 🤷‍♂️

I only threw their names out because it was more recent. I have no issue with a player like Rae! We need more like her along with stars from day 1 and they normally come from the top 10 players. Players like Howard is the exception. Even without a superstar though I feel with a good coach and enough Rae’s on a team can be very successful. Me personally I’m holding my criticism until it’s warranted. Just hasn’t been enough time to go there yet and I’m still optimistic but do feel Justine isn’t the savior and we need more commits for 2022 and even better recruits in the next cycle

One player isn't going to fix this mess we need a group of hard working talented young ladies.

Justine isn't a savior but her skill set will make it easier to be successful

I know its in the eye of the beholder but I don't think I would call today a "mess." Three years ago, absolutely, but I think they have broke out of the mess category. Totally agree that we need more talent and good shooters will flourish in Kellies offense.

The mess I'm talking about is this constant feeling of when is the shoe gonna drop! I am confident in this staff and love the progress we r making. I would have liked to see Kellie with some of Holly's recruits like diamond and Mercedes (along with coach sam and coach joy). i think they would have had a different outcome

But, you were the one who kept saying if TN could get her she would elevate them like TN had a chance. I didn't think TN was in the picture and I know she is beast. BUT if TN can land some of the people on its radar they will fill the role she could play quite nicely. So while it sucks it also isn't a doom and gloom scenario for TN with some of the recruits mentioned and some that aren't 😁

That can be said about any skilled athlete. Yes she’s a good player but she’s going to need players around her just as good if not better to make it easier for her as well. Unless she develops into a Delle Donne type player. Not sure though why me saying we needed more meant that in some way I was downplaying what she will bring. Some of the 3 we’re going after will be bring just as much if not more. I was only stating we needed more.

Yes i said that but they never recruited her, TN was changing staff at the time Watkins was being heavily recruited. Not disagree with you at all. And my post was just from i was told. And yes they are other players TN is in on and i hope they can land them. I just left a workout of a top 60 2023 player workout with 4 other players. And to note VA-VOLFAN In talking to a few people watching talk about Duke SC LSU ND UConn and NC programs. :)

i'm sure Duke is the new kid on the block with a notable coach, SC is a powerhouse with Dawn, LSU everybody is wondering what she will do and Kim is just an attraction with all the antics herself, ND there are reports out about her being watched by admin to see how she will do but people i believe want ND to do well, NC had an influx of talent so can Courtney coach that talent and will she improve (she has had the same timeline exactly as kellie), and Uconn is Uconn.

I am just glad to hear people talking about TN again and not in a negative way LOL. Parity is good for the game and if the other schools can improve it will only grow the game.

I myself have said we need more. I didn't say you were downplaying her i just said she has a skill set that will help her team. I didn't repeat that we needed more because it had been said.

I am going to start putting disclaimers up.

DISCLAIMER: I didn't have an issue with what you said NOR do i disagree. I am just saying she has a skill set that will help. I am also not trying to make it out as if you are trying to downplay Justine. I also realize some of the other players we are recruiting may bring just as much or if not more because they also have different skill sets that can help the team in a different variety of ways.

VA no negative here at all i just call it like i see it. I`m a big TN fan go way back, But some of the shadows on this board have never attended at HS game before. But find the time to put out miss information at times on recruits and this team it is what it is.

I didn't think you were being negative. This statement is about the team and not you. LOL, i just want anyone on this board to know that when i post it doesn't mean i disagree with what your sayings. I just find it interesting and want to comment.

Disclaimer: i didn't think you and i agree with what you are saying. Matter of fact i think people come to this board and spread misinformation at times myself.

Damn, this is why i hate these things sometimes you can't hear the inflection or tone in a persons voice. Or maybe we just live in a world where people automatically think others think the worst lol. Or maybe i just need to work on me 😂

I am a teacher and realize sometimes you have to approach things a different way for clarity sake because sometimes two people are saying the same thing just in a different way.

Other times people r just way off base ... so i just clarify LOL

Interesting. Many folks with South Carolina were narrowing down that "birdie flew into the nest" tweet from Staley as being Watkins. But with her recent top 4 list, that means she's still deciding. That "birdie" is getting more mysterious and mysterious as we go along. Of course, that prospect could have also de-committed as well (if she was a "silent" commit). Eventually, that fat has to hit the fryer.....

She could still be the silent commit but taking visits just to reaffirm her decision. Dawn also had a couple of underclassmen visiting at the same time so it could have been one of them.

It's Watkins....she is going to take her 4 officials, but unless she changes her mind.....
