2022 Recruits

I watched the game and tried to jot down some stats. Justine had 5 points. She was 1-5 on 3 pointers and was fouled on her only layup attempt and made 2 free throws. She had 5 rebounds, 3 assists, 1 block and altered a couple more shots. She had 3 fouls. The passing in this game was dreadful but Justine completed every pass she attempted and looked like she knew the difference between a player that was open or not open when most of these girls did not. She shoots from too deep. Her first shot attempt was from about 26 feet and the nearest defender was 10 feet away. She could have easily taken a dribble in and shot from closer. Most of her shots were from that range. I know the highlight vids show her draining them from the parking lot but that's not gonna be a high percentage shot.

Mickey Mantle even struck out sometimes, and Tom Brady sometimes throws an interception or two....Bad games happens.

Number 4 on the white team looks like a pretty good point guard from the snippets I watched.

The part of Justine's game that surprised me was her passing. She had some nice assists. You get those two on the same team and I think you would really have something to work with.

There were a couple of other good guards there (14 on the white team and another one I forget), and 20 on the black team looked like she could be a pretty good forward. I didn't see any centers who stood out. But like I say, I did not watch the whole thing.

It would be nice to have a lineup though so I could tell who some of these girls are. I am really curious.
Here’s the roster for the Omni Elite gameEE75A576-8048-4956-AB9D-A0AC29A312A1.jpeg

How quickly did she get her shot off? And how did she put the ball on the floor?

Thanks for getting my recruiting anxiety going again .... Joyner now ranked at #67 ! We have several recruits we have offered or interested in that have moved since the last rankings!

#2 Barker still listed at 2
#12 Watkins up from 13
# 14 Bransford up from 27
# 16 Justine up from 33
#17 Latson up from 39
#18 Cooper down from 8
#19 Whitehorn down from 21
#24 Buggs up from 35
#30 Walker down from 20

This is eight more top recruits that we have a shot at ! And this is only what we know about ? After Justine verbal with no information until after her verbal ..... well , it’s getting interesting 🤔
Looks like Whitehorn went Up.

I never realized before now that "Fudd" is such a common name in the U.S.

Don't forget about Elmer...

She got her shot off quickly. She didn't handle the ball much in traffic. She hung around the 3 point line and when she got the ball she either shot or if she was covered she passed it off. She drove once through the middle when it was fairly open and when a defender moved to cut her off she made a dish for an assist.

Yeah, someone on here earlier said her game was like Clark’s . It isn’t, they have diff games altogether, Clark shoots plenty of 3’s, but she handles the ball a bunch in traffic and drives to the hoop half the time, they are just diff players.

Justine may be great kid and I hope she great player at Tennessee but eye in sky doesn't lie. Watched the full game films I've seen 3 of them. Doesn't like contact. Doesn't move around much. Doesn't like get in there and bang. My opinion unless she gets tuff and that is hard to teach as player gets older. She will be a situational player at Tennessee. I'm going say Kourtney Dumbar type. Plus speed of SEC speeds up your thought process and can you make the shots then.

When you say "Bang Around", I guess the same could be said about Rennia Davis who is quoted as saying she hated contact yet was amazing getting to places for her shots and a deceptively good rebounder or a Katie Lou Samuelson Type who could shoot you out of the gym when she was on. Both Great Players. Coaches have to play to the strengths of the players and a great coach can help them to be outstanding basketball players. I think Kellie has a really great one in Justine Pissott!!!

It is hard not to do some banging when you are averaging 12.4 rebounds per 32 minutes played. That stat seems to say she is doing more than just standing on the perimeter.

She is a 2/3 on her teams why would she go down low and bang? She is already a step ahead of Kortney passing wise. she has deeper range than Kortney. She reminds me of a Katie Lou Sampson who came in with a similar type game to them. She already drives and runs the floor better as well.

Just my opinion...
