FWIW, you're wasting your time arguing with @hog88 concerning Lincoln. No, that's a very skewed take.
Abraham Lincoln and the Preservation of the Union - Jack Miller Center
Abraham Lincoln was born on February 12, 1809 near Hodgenville, Kentucky. He is best known for his immense impact in leading our nation through a civil war and for ultimately abolishing slavery.jackmillercenter.org
In the words of Bill Lumbergh, "I'm gonna have to go ahead and disagree with you."
He's a full-blown confederate sympathizer who can't see the forest for the trees.
An overwhelming number of respected historians repeatedly rank the guy in the top 5, yet @hog88 detests the guy because he kept the Union together.
He forgets the alternative was to let the South breakaway, for slavery to continue, and for the opportunity for the United States to become the great country it is to be pi$$ed away.
