2024 Presidential Race

Kamala Harris said there is nothing she would change in terms of what President Joe Biden has done during their time in the White House.

'There is not a thing that comes to mind,' Harris said.

Her comments were made to the hosts of ABC's The View when she appeared on the show Tuesday morning for a softball interview where she was fawned over. Whoopi Goldberg introduced her as 'the next president of the United States.'

6 states had already seceeded before Lincoln was inagurated....
but well after he had won the election, and publicly stated he wouldn't compromise on any issues with the southern states. not just slavery.

the 7 original secessionists were only joined by the last 4 when pretty much the first action of Lincoln's presidency was to raise troops in order to enforce his policies. the so called "conditional unionists" didn't want to leave, but felt forced by Lincoln.

We'll see. I think she wins. North Carolina is definitely in play.
North Carolina is only in play if they don’t get polling stations set up in the damaged areas. The totally farcical administration response will only drive more voters to Trump. You don’t screw things up this badly and expect to get rewarded by voters

Takes two sides to tango. This was always going to be the outcome once the South didnt get preferred candidate.....

I agree NC is in play but I like Trump's chances more there than Kamala's. Kamala can win WH without NC. I think if Trump loses NC, he has probably lost all or most of AZ, NV, WI, MN, MI, PA, GA....

That's the liberals plans. To suppress. The republican vote in the rural areas.

yeah, but it goes back further/more complicated than that. predatory loan practices from the northern financial institutions which kept the northern monopolies intact. Slavery was important in the south because it was the ONE industry, agriculture, that didn't need large capital backing to be profitable or grow. If the northern monopolies didn't lock out funding from southern states they would have been more developed, less dependent on slavery, and probably not as anti-Lincoln.

Lincoln promised to enforce more of those monopoly favoring decisions, which doomed the south to stagnation or dependence on slavery to fund the one industry in the area.

There is a reason the south wasn't as developed as the north, and it was mostly due to monopolies that funded Lincoln. the war was a huge win for the monopolies, and a big reason why they took off to become the true giants in the 1920s. the war drove tons of federal money into coal, rail, steel, shipping, and completely shut down any viable growth in the south. further removing competition.

Never underestimate the contribution that the invention of air conditioning made towards the growth of the South starting mid 20th Century.
Anyone who has had their AC unit go down for a few days in July will understand.

The last several elections, the polls have pretty consistently overestimated the democrat vote. So if the polls say it is tied, it probably will turn into Trump by 3 or 4 percentage points

I’m hopeful for that. There’s also a chance the polls have corrected

Right .... but those funds don't exist without Trump's waiver. And Republicans know that money has not been used to fund Hamas.

.... and anyway you want to look at it .... the source of the money was not the United States. It is dishonest for Republicans to say that Biden "gave" billions to Iran. It was never American money, and the decision which led to the creation of this Iranian money frozen in South Korea, was made by none other than Donald Trump.
So if Iran had 2 billion earmarked for humanities and then gets a surplus of 6 billion...do you believe they are giving all 8 billion to humanitarian aid??? Your smarter then that
..it didn't go directly to the attack but it opened up other funds that were previously for humanitarian aid...but you know this.

Kamala Harris voters in action showing great love & acceptance to others in life.
The loony left brings that great unity that Biden/Harris spoke about in 2021.

Question?

WTF is the purpose of an October 7 anniversary march? Is this a celebration? Is it to bring attention to what wasn’t happening prior to 10/7/23? Last time I checked 10/7/23 should’ve just been another day, but it wasn’t . Why? Bc 1200 + Israeli citizens, even American citizens, women and children were slaughtered and kidnapped at various places throughout the country.

Kinda indirectly makes my point. When one side oppresses and supresses the other, at some point you are going to reach a breaking point...

If it wasn't 1860, it would have been 1864, 1868, 1876, 1892, etc.....

North was going giving up power and the South was fed up....

She doesnt at +2 nationally. Gotta get somewhere in the low to mid 3s....

Right now, I think Trump keeps NC, and flips back GA, AZ, and PA.

Still a month to go. Who knows whats going to happen during it...

The current polls still aren’t factoring in the VP debate. I realize it won’t be a huge bump, but I think Vance definitely helped his side.

And any level of a bump right now is huge given the close margins
