I really like it when you post here. You bring well thought bjectivity. It wouldn't - she would have dropped that like a hot potato when she took office and it would have never passed Congress if it made it that far. It was just a ploy to pander to far-left economic illiterates who make up a sizeable portion of her party.
Elections are controlled at the state level. If a trump wants to ensure GOP victories for the foreseeable future he will pass legislation with a Republican led congress to require voter ID for all elections, while also attaching an addendum that proof of citizenship must be required to obtain a drivers license
As a right-leaning moderate (I didn't vote for Trump but was pulling for Harris to lose), here's my fear. Republicans have wrestled political control in all federal branches and are pulling to the right as hard as they can. But the American voters retaliate in a few years and all that pulling turns out to be a slingshot effect that sends us way to the left of what we've ever seen before.
I guess what I'm saying is, R's have ALL the power right now. So they better use it wisely in the next couple years. Everyone is watching and there are no excuses. If they F this up y'all ain't seen nothin yet from the loony left. If they do well, it will force the D's to move to center.
This is where it’s Biden’s fault for running again, IMO.
Once they kicked him to the curb, the party had to quickly rally behind one person and picking a senator or governor may have opened the door to other senators and governors asking “why not me?” A contested convention would have been a mess.
@Orangeslice13 had this conversation when it happened. He pointed out that she was an awful candidate, and I agreed, but I thought she was the best choice they could make under the circumstances. Circumstances created by Biden leveraging his incumbency to squash the primary field before it got started.
Ironically, I’m not sure he would have done much worse if they had just left him on the ticket. That might be one the worst performances by a Democrat since Mondale.
What are you gonna say if he does stop them?"We had no wars, for four years, we had no wars. Except we defeated ISIS," Trump proclaimed.
"They said ‘he will start a war.’ I’m not going to start a war, I’m going to stop the wars."
Looking forward to seeing how Trump does this. He's got:
(1) Israel/Iran/Hamas/Hezbollah
(2) Russia/Ukraine
(3) Yemen/Saudi Arabia
So all Trump's rhetoric and bluster goes out the window on January 20th.
Will be happy when he stops the wars *cough*.
Gotta set my alarm to check back in here tomorrow around, say, 11 PM.
The MAGA meltdown should be epic.
EDIT: Please don't burn down my love shack.

I think the border crisis was big too. I think bussing all these folks around the country and dropping them in these sanctuary cities, spread "joy" and shined a different light on it. It forced the MSM to cover it. They could no longer hide it.Trump won last night for the same reason he lost in 20: the economy

Interesting Weez.We were getting "evil" no matter who won. You think Kamala is somehow "pure of heart"? Politicians are typically not "good" people.
What are you gonna say if he does stop them?
