Blanca would have been a good get, but not getting her doesn't change the outlook for this season to me. Since JH graduated and Kea is most prob a top 5 WNBA pick,, I think our next must-have is a scoring SF who can create her own shot. The post position is good, we have Jilian and potentially TK for the next couple of seasons

They need to get a commitment from a alpha someone who says give me the ball and move some to replace RJ.in watching the games I don't see the the person that wants it when we need buckets RJ started to at end of last season. I know it's a team game but you need that Brianna Stewart or Holdsclaw or Catchings to go to after RJ leaves I truly haven't seen that person unless one of the portal additions has the "it" factor.

He probably meant since 2020. By that standard, neither CONN nor TENN have won any national titles.

If this makes you feel better....The ultimate point is that we're getting beat for elite players by practically everybody---including a lot of programs that have nothing close to our pedigree. The first reason is that, as a result of not getting to even a Final Four for more than 15 years, we've almost completely lost the cachet that had for a long time, and the second reason is that the current staff really struggles with recruiting.

I don't think they are on her any more. I hear they are loooking for 2 bigs to fill out the 24 recruits. the only exception, IMO, would be Cambridge.

You can't say striking out on a player like Jaloni who has had no interest in us. That's a highly inaccurate statement when recruiting has to he two way interest.

Can't take nor do all Tennessee girls want to go to Tennessee and be a lady vol. Hell, the unsung hero for LSU last year in the championship game was from Memphis (Jasmine Carson)Don't think there was ever any interest in her coming to Tennessee. Kellie should have her 4th number 1 draft pick in a row next year. The recruiters need to start selling that as much as the lady Vols brand & history to get to some of these kids who have aspirations of playing in the WNBA to come this way.

I agree def a top selling point and having more young blood for us in the W is good for recruiting

We won't win in any sport every year on getting all the TN talent. Some kids have ties to other universities for whatever reason (ie a parent wanted there), lived in that state at some point etc.

Also, we have three of the top players from TN in their respective classes. Darby, Strickland and Wynn. Not every year in the state of TN do we have players like Jaloni and Imari. If we get Imari, that's huge.

UConn has 12 scholarships filled pending any player that leaves between now and 2024, He has a roster of 14 players this coming season going to be interesting as to how he uses that roster. He is usually someone that goes no more then nine players. So they have three to give for 2024 portal or high school.
