2024 Recruiting Thread

The previous poster….Ivyleague. I used to love their post and Mad’s posting style reminds me so much of them.
I'm not sure how any fan of the University of Tennessee could have loved either Ivy League or her posts.
Among her many transgressions were:
She admitted to never wearing UT embossed items because she didn't want anyone to think that she actually went here.
She expressed her disgust about having to sit next to a Tennessee fan, who happened to be overweight.
She was absolutely sure, right up to the end, that Holly was the right coach to lead the LV's back to a championship, and
admonished anyone who thought otherwise.
She was not just an ordinary troll, but a super troll. Somehow, she managed to make many posters on this forum believe that she was a true LV fan, all the while denigrating the fan base at every opportunity.

Ummmmm what?! Maybe we’re talking about 2 different posters, because that’s not the Ivy I remember AT ALL actually! But I don’t want to move the convo too far from 2024 recruiting so I’ll concede.

The Ivy being referred to I believe has been banned. She, self-identified pronoun, always bragged about being a Harvard grad and complained about how déclassé Tennessee fans are. Honestly I am not sure how you could see any similarity to my posts and Ivy's. I am proud graduate of the University of Tennessee.

I'd be curious to know how many UT fans --overall and on this board--actually graduated from UT or any college. I'd assert that a majority are not college grads. If one spent any time on the Michigan and Notre Dame sports forums, to name two, the opposite seems to be the case.

I definitely didn’t graduate from UT! With the Lady Vols basketball program being a national brand, I’d bet a good amount (not all) of fans of the women’s basketball program aren’t from Tennessee, let alone graduated from UT.

I'm a University of South Carolina grad (just missed Dawn joining by one year), but had season tickets to the Lady Vols games from elementary to high school, so they're where my heart lies, regardless of where I graduated from!

Perhaps you should keep your elitist attitude on those two sites that you seem to be enamored with.
A fan is a fan is a fan. Does not matter if you are a college graduate. I am an Atlanta Braves fan,but never played for the Braves. Does that make me a fan who needs to be looked down on? I have been a Lady Vol fan since Pat Head Summitt began coaching and more so when my friend Jackie Watson(Curt Watson’s youngest sister) pbecame a Lady Vol. I lived in Houston, Texas for fifteen years, but that did not keep me from being a Tennessee and Lady Vol fan during that time.
No, I did not graduate from UT. You can condescend and look askance at me but I am still a fan. No one on this site should have the elitest attitude that you seem to espouse. All fans are just that —- fans.

Small world! I knew Jackie Watson back in the day! From Crossville, right? I was good friends w the other Jackie on that early, early team, Jackie Dunbar fm Portland, TN. Her brother Mark Dunbar was a linebacker playing for Bill Battle at the time. I also knew Sue Thomas fm Maryville Everett on that team.

Jackie was a special lady.Their father was a dentist and mother a nurse.. Yes it was Crossville. Curt was oldest then Tricia then Jackie. As you know Curt and Jackie were athletically inclined while Patricia was into music and studies. Many memories of those days.
