Not surprised that he’s staying tomorrow night so we can have up until midnight with him before the dead period. But a little surprising to me that he’s gonna come in and give us a full day. Seems that Chaz is holding up his end of the bargain on giving us a full, fair, final shot. Gives me a lot of hope, hopefully not irrational hope.

If true, that shows he really wants to play for Rick Barnes. Rare for a kid to stay 2 nights. I mean he has had the SEC POY 3 times out of the past 7 years and 2 national POY at Texas. Not a lot of coaches have that on their résumé.

I just hope Lanier is worth all the hoopla. There's no guarantees he will be great or not great either.

You can't interpret the latest development as anything but positive news for us. If he makes it to campus and gives us the longest stay and the last word right up to the dead period, what else could we ask for?

Doesn't 100% guarantee anything. He or his agent could ask for too much. Or maybe our staff doesn't like something they see during the visit.

In the end though, I'm feeling a lot better than I was about 5 days ago.

If he’s coming, I’m gonna assume that means that neither UK or BYU made an NIL offer so far out there that we would say “we can’t come near that.”

I think most rational fans know he won’t be the next Knecht, nobody will.

As long as he’s scoring around 14 points a night, that’s enough production.

It used to be that people would complain if a 5 star didn’t perform up to their expectations. Now it will turn into kids are overpaid whenever they don’t perform up to their expectations. I would gladly take $1M to play basketball and if “fans” wanted to run their mouth then let them. Fans aren’t the ones in position to make that money so I don’t think we have a right to complain about it. Guarantee the majority of these players don’t care what anyone on this board says about them.
