Bobby Jones made a nice career out of being an elite defender. Mashack, for all his offensive limitations, is a super tool to have when facing a team that's got an elite perimeter player. Just latch Mashack on him then focus on the other 4.
As a Sixer fan who loved Bobby Jones, he was actually an excellent offensive player - solid, consistent jumper and an elite finisher on the break - but he accepted his role on those Sixer teams as the 6th man, defensive stopper, and Jack of all trades. BJ didn't start, but he closed every game.
