I think you are right which suggests that the goal should probably be about 8 or 9 good, ready-to-play guys, but how do you fill out the roster and keep everybody happy? Maybe you need some project players. Bringing in too many freshman in the same year who can all play right away will guarantee an exodus. These coaches really have a conundrum.

I know its fashionable to freak out rn, but that seems like a really strong group to me even before the last two scholarships are filled

Yep, he recruited him last year and hasn’t stopped. Same with Ledlum. He recruited him hard when in the portal, and didn’t stop once Ledlum got here. It’s just the way it is now.

I know this is the transfer portal thread, but I’d think ideally we’d find a high school pg to come in and backup zz for a year before taking over at the position. Was probably a hard sell during early signing period but now that dillione is gone would think it’d make the most sense.

Add a stretch 4 and another shooter in the portal then take best available and I’d feel pretty good.

All seems very reasonable. Dubar is more of a catch and shoot player vs put ball on floor and drive, is that correct? His 3 pt FG % is impressive. Thomas and Lanier can create.

I don't follow Basilio or anyone online. I work full time and raise my kids 100% solo and don't have time for stupid drama. I put info out from what I've been told and leave it there... My opinions come from what I know about the team I follow year round, the info comes from texts & calls that real insiders tell me. And to make it clear: your thoughts on me personally mean 💩 and I have nothing to gain by a player leaving that I hoped would stay. This one hurts. Just back off and you share your "info" this page is for real info - not for this bs back n forth, and this will be the last time I do this.

Lanier, Dubar, Tyson would be a home run and seems more realistic by the day. Add a HS project to that and we’ve got a hell of a squad.

Aren't we still in it for DeWayne Brown? He seems to be very similar to Awaka in size.

Seemed like he stopped recruiting Ledlum when he was telling the media how terrible he is

He thought he was so terrible that he ended up playing for him last season. Ledlum left here for St John’s. He knew he was going there. Pitino never stopped tampering with him. I don’t care, it just is what it is. He did the same with Awaka.
