You are making arguments that I am not even making. Sheeeh. You’re being ridiculous. I NEVER said that we have done poorly in the portal and that the transfer portal is negatively affecting Tennessee. My post had absolutely nothing to do with Tennessee. You’re putting words in my mouth and getting agitated about something you continue to miss the point on.

It’s not negative, sad sack, or any adjective you’d like to use to say that I, personally, don’t like the current transfer portal era of college sports and how it has changed aspects of of the sport. It’s has absolutely nothing to do with me saying this is exclusive to Tennessee, how we are being screwed by it, or that we don’t have anything to celebrate.

I’m not sure how everyone else understood that point, that was not commenting on the state of Tennessee athletics at all, and you somehow continue to miss it and say I’m being negative and constantly whining about how much Tennessee is screwed. It’s simply not true and it’s an argument I’m not even making.

That’s my last comment on the matter. I’m done.

I prefer Aidoo over Awaka if we're giving them a bag to stay.

I spoke to a buddy of mine who's a UT fan and I told him you cant blame the boys for taking the money and he agreed.

My boys a basketball player who'll more than likely max out at the high school level and I'd tell him to take the money and run.

I really want to know too. I understand how some people have “sources” related to certain schools, but Trilly seems to be the most connected to the entirety of CBB.

Deep bench of Gainey, Gayle, Awaka/Igor, Tyson, etc.

Wonder if we take both Lanier and Gayle, get Awaka back and call it a portal. Following season you would have a core of Gayle, Tyson, Awaka, etc coming back. (Obviously depending on if we get Awaka back)

Am I close @aaronvol 🙂

What's going to be crazy is it does not seem like next years team is going to have any of the usual developmental players. It seems like one way or another vols are going to have fun team coming up with all the players they are interested in portal. The one spot that seems lacking is back up point guard so ZZ isn't pushing 40 minutes a game end. Guess Boswell? Or Gainey/Mashack?

If we get Lanier, I can see him handling the ball. Imagine this lineup if ZZ needs a breather for whatever reason or is in foul trouble.
PG: Lanier 6’4
SG: Mashack 6’4 or Gayle 6’4
SF: Tyson 6’7
PF: Igor 6’10
C: Awaka 6’8
That’s a big lineup

I don’t think it would matter too much who can play back up PG tbh. I think each one of those players can play multiple positions, you can place them in different spots depending on matchups. Not one kid on that depth chart is limited to just one spot

Curious to see if we take both Gayle and Lanier or just one.

I dont think we get all those guys but it sure would be fun. I think we get one of Lanier/Gayle and then 2 of Igor/Tyson/Dubar.

The only thing I worry about if we get all of them is Cam Carr. Him and JP have to get minutes this year or they might hit the portal next year. JP will backup Awaka if he comes back. If we get all of these guards/wings then it would be tough to find all of them minutes along with Carr
