2024 Transfer Portal

Taking a stab at batting order (for fun) should this be the lineup.

1. Kilen
2. Fischer
3. Curley
4. Rat
5. Ensley
6. Chapman/Backus
7. DH (Bargo?)
8. Ant (I expect his hitting to improve dramatically next year - his spot is a caveat)
9. Peebs
I wasn’t putting the batting order, just my opinion of where the guys will play

But I like this

Taking a stab at batting order (for fun) should this be the lineup. Of course if any of the stud freshman arrive and push, this all goes out the window.

1. Kilen
2. Fischer
3. Curley
4. Rat
5. Ensley
6. Chapman/Backus
7. DH (Bargo?)
8. Ant (I expect his hitting to improve dramatically next year - his spot is a caveat)
9. Peebs
Just for fun, I'll take a stab:

1. Antigua-SS
2. Kilen-2B
3. Fischer-LF
4. Rataczak-1B
5. Curley-3B
6. Ensley-CF
7. Chapman-RF
8. Bargo-DH
9. Peebles-C

I can also see the DH being another platoon situation if one of the incoming freshmen or RS freshmen can provide some pop. Especially a righty.

There are two guys with the last name Fisher/Fischer we are recruiting with slightly different spellings. I frequently get the spellings mixed up but Cade Fisher is still uncommitted and is a pitcher but Andrew Fischer has commented to us, yes.
My last name is Fischer. The correct spelling for the record. People have been messing up the spelling for years, so I expect people to be confused now in this situation.

Since we’re having fun.

Week: Different guys, hoping a freshman takes it
Friday: Snead
Saturday: Doyle
Sunday: Loy

With the BIG arms we’re bringing in, this could and will be completely wrong.

Franklin could start, any of the freshman could start, who knows.

Just for fun, I'll take a stab:

1. Antigua-SS
2. Kilen-2B
3. Fischer-LF
4. Rataczak-1B
5. Curley-3B

Wonder how many in that lineup can challenge for 20 dingers? I see 3 / 4

The MLB draft starting Sunday July 14 and continuing through Tuesday July 16, will have a major impact on the SEC top programs.

According to Perfect Game six of the top 10, 2025 recruiting classes belong to SEC schools.

(1) Tennessee has 24 recruits with 9 of them in the top 100.
(2) LSU has 16 recruits with 10 of them in the top 100.
(3) Texas has 18 recruits with 5 of them in the top 100.

(6) Auburn, (7) Mississippi and (10) Florida are also in the top 10.

Between Tennessee, LSU and Texas almost one quarter of the top 100 recruits are committed (pending the MLB draft).

I have never paid much attention to the MLB draft but now the draft has major implications for the top of the SEC standings. Now, I can hardly wait for the draft and how it will affect Tennessee baseball. No time for vacation...thanks Coach Vitello.

I should have known better, but my son and I watched the last game of the series against the gators and celebrated hammering Fisher in that big inning...I'll have to repent if he chooses the good guys
We accepted Billy Barrels, Pebbles, Snead, and others with open arms.
He will need to repent for playing for the dark side.

New update from VQ on Cade Fisher saying Tennessee is basically out of the running and it will be Wake or Auburn as his landing spot.
We will be ok. Frank will figure out the pieces. If Phillips can exhibit better control, he will be dominant. There are other pieces available, too.

I did a very non-scientific perusal of these prospects and the upcoming draft. It seemed as if LSU had a lot of those top 100 recruits being taken in rounds one and two of mock drafts, Texas with a few, too. Ours were more limited. I could be wrong, though. However, I do suspect we might get the most number of high prospects actually in school.
