2024 TRANSFER TRACKER

I’ll always support the team, I’m too emotionally invested.
If I were able to get some different players or pick the ones I wanted of course things would be different. I am sure they are doing all they can to get the best roster that can get. It may not be what we wanted, but I'll still support and hope we have a great season.

I think the roster with Dwyer, Spencer, and Whitehorn added puts us with a roster capable of any in the SEC other than Sc, Texas, and LSU. Then if the schedule turned out we play those three once each while SC played Texas twice and LSU twice a way we might sneak into the top three. I imagine it is hard to get commitments from players when a player that average 5 ppg wanted 50 thousand NIL deal. Were certainly not going to be a terrible team if we add those three and Cooper, Spearman, and some of the others get better.
IMO OK w Beers and Alabama are going to big challenges as well. Alot will depend on how our many unknowns and what ifs play out. Also on whether we land RW.

Tenn will play all teams once except for Vandy whom they will play twice. SC plays Ky twice and all others once. I'm guessing Texas will play OK twice and LSU will play UF twice.

If we get Spencer, Dwyer and Whitehorn I think that puts us around 7-8th in the conference. But if we get Kapinus, Whitehorn and King I think that puts us in the top 4 at a minimum with a chance to win it.

They will be good teams all depends on where we play more than anything. Harder to win on the road than at home. I think we could take both those teams at home and lose to both on the road. The schedule will tell you a lot about where you might finish in the league. We have a lot of players on our roster that could be great or bad a lot of unproven, but highly ranked athletic players. One thing for sure this will be one of the fastest teams in the SEC. Team speed won't be a problem. Hard to say what our biggest problems will be right now.

Yes I’m in the discussion but I’m not upset about it anymore, like I’ve said my focus is the 2025 class.

JMO I just as soon have Spencer as King along with Whitehorn and Kapinus. Those three elevate just as much. Spencer is better than she has played. Sometimes playing on a bad team makes your stats bad cause your trying to do too much. No reason for her to be taking 450 shots in a season. Her freshman season is more the type of season you would like to see from her.

Then where you play comes into question. If you play on the road at Georgia, Arkansas, Missouri, Florida and teams like that and home against Kentucky, Alabama, Auburn, Oklahoma, etc you can expect a better outcome for the SEC season.

I don’t rely on stats, I watch their game. Latham didn’t have great stats but I can see her game and talents and know she be a great player if given more opportunities.

I posted some game highlights of Spencer, Spearman, and Dwyer a page or maybe two back. It gives you an idea of how those three play. I would say they are all really good players just a little inconsistent in game to game play. If they could be consistent every game certainly would be three players you would want.

I make sure to check it out, I didn’t really want to add 2 small guards like Dwyer and Spencer, I could understand maybe adding one but not 2, we already have Wells. If we play 3 guards they need to be versatile defenders and be able to switch on a forward if needed.

Until they are added just visiting. Could be we want them both or the first one to commit.

Jewel had an NIL deal last year too. We know Jewel. Coop and Latham all have NIL deals with Vol Club now I imagine we will see the same for Spearman too.
I think Rooster means paid as in a base salary that everyone gets for a generalized NIL committment. My understanding is yes they are, but not alot in comparison to our overlords. Then they also have Vol Club for individual endorsements, etc, also known as the real NIL.

Just saw on twitter where SC fans raised the match for the 250K a group offered for the WBB program. So they just picked up half a million.

Whatever you think of the issues around it, the extent to which college sports is awash in money right now is mind boggling. This is going to be looked back on like the Gold Rush period.

Ruby's mom has likely been following tennessee since ruby was considering us out of high school. I wouldn't read too much into that. Not saying Ruby won't commit but I'd bet money mom has been following us for 2-3 years. Plus they also know Rickea and JP.

What?

You all are reading everything into players following other teams players and coaches but when the scenario is flipped you claim it’s not something to read much into lol.

That’s a contradiction.
Nobody started talking about Kapinus to UT until she started following multiple players.

Skim made a post and now you all are on the thread saying since UT scheduled other visits that must mean they did not get a commitment from Ruby or Kapinus.

Who is reading anything into it? I pointed out both ways what some are seeing only one way.

Yes but I’m talking about top dollar, I mean Kiki and Juju type money we aren’t paying that type yet.
NIL money and social media money is not fixed stone. They tend to rise with success. So, players are going to gravitate to programs that have the best chances for mega success. At this point, UT is a relative gamble.
