2024 U.S. Senate Races

Toss up in battle grounds but voters trust Trump more than Harris on economy and immigration. That's bad news for Harris

So what's changed besides the Harris newness is wearing off and impacting the general direction of the polls? They've always trusted Trump more on both but that's a low bar. I actually trust Trump more on the border than I trust him on the economy after sounding like a democrat more and more with creative giveaways. I will say that may not be far off from his mantra America First. If we stop giving our tax dollars to corrupt regimes around the world then his ideas may not be as bad as I think.

I love it when MAGA groupies like Kari Lake get their a$$ kicked .... and she definitely will.

Kari is very bright and has good ideas but she is a true conservative. She has been in the media and she understands how disgusting they are. She probably had to bite her tongue for years hearing the garbage they spewed. I think she would like to win but she won't sell out her values or lie like a democrat. A lot like Martha McSally but with a tougher core. I think she will be happy with the party taking the WH and Congress even if she doesn't win.

She is a two trick pony .....

The 2020 election was rigged and the border crisis. Beyond that? She has very little to say.

I don't follow Lake that closely but I agree the border is a top issue. There is corruption in the voting system - that or Arizona is a messed up state because...........

Kathleen Marie Hobbs (born December 28, 1969)[1][2] is an American politician and social worker serving since 2023 as the 24th governor of Arizona. Hobbs is the first social worker to be elected governor of a U.S. state and is Arizona's fifth female governor.

And it shows. Total head case. She disappeared from the public last year. Some thought she had quit.

There is no corruption in the voting system. Kari Lake is just an atrocious candidate, who nobody likes.

That’s why they’re going out of their way to make the election about Abortion.

But I just don’t see it displacing Economy & Border for enough people.

Wisconsin Senate Race Tightens, flashing Warning Signs for Democrats

News signs of a tightening race in Wisconsin are flashing warning signs for incumbent Democrat Sen. Tammy Baldwin as she looks to fend off a challenge from Trump-backed Eric Hovde, giving Republicans a boost in their efforts to take the upper chamber this fall.

The Cook Political Report shifted the race to “toss-up” status this week, and public and internal polling has raised alarms that Hovde could be closing the gap with less than a month to go until Election Day.

Democrats are still largely confident Baldwin will hold onto her seat, but the encouraging signs for her opponent underscore the race is set to be one of the most competitive in the country this fall as the parties fight for Senate control.

Obama cuts ad for Ruben Gallego in competitive Arizona Senate contest

Obama appeared in a video ad for Rep. Ruben Gallego‘s (D-AZ) bid for Senate in Arizona, touting the congressman as a “proven fighter.”

Obama emphasized Gallego’s background and his efforts against “corporate price gouging,” as reason to support him over Republican Kari Lake in the Senate race, in the video released by the campaign.

The former president lost Arizona in both of his successful presidential campaigns in 2008 and 2012, but the state voted for Biden in 2020. The last time Republicans won a Senate seat in the once reliably red state was 2016.
