2025 Recruiting

So you're impressed by Boyd too, eh? She is actually the biggest surprise of this early season for me since, for some unknown reason, I'd gotten it into my head that she'd probably be a shrinking violet-type. Nope! She's really poised and solid and READY. What a delight!
agree,,,I too am quite surprised by Kaniya,,pleasantly

Tennessee under 1st year head coach Kim Caldwell and recruiting assistants Coach Lazo & Coach Tubner have set a standard of elite recruiting that has not been seen in WBB.
This staff in 7 months have signed the #1 recruiting class according to 247Sports featuring 5 players the best scoring Wing in the 2025 class Deniya Prawl. There is not another Wing in the 2025 more ready to start as a true freshman on both ends of the court.
With Tennessee’s depth returning Cooper, Whitehorn, and Boyd as athletic guards Prawl will be able to transition into any role needed in year 1.
Jaida Civil and Mia Pauldo are two of the most versatile playmakers in the 2025 class. Mia has had the best offseason of the 2025 class and is the best true PG.
Civil upside is off the charts.
Mya Pauldo and Lauren Hurst are highly skilled players that will contribute from Day 1.
Mya and Lauren are two-way players both excellent three point shooters and the type of defenders that can solidify this team as an elite group on the defensive end of the floor.
GBO!

Would we be a Final Four team in 2025-26 season???
IMO it is almost never a good idea to rely too heavily on freshmen. I know examples of great, impactful freshmen will come rolling in so note I said almost. Notable exceptions Meeks and CP.

Oh yes. Carla’s brother, @Volstylexx. 🤣
I will eat a cat turd out of my litter box live on facebook for you all to watch if TN hires Marshall's coach. Danny White does not fire a former Lady Vol who went to two sweet 16's to hire a coach who's been in D1 for one year. NOT. HAPPENING. It's counter intuitive to everything we know to be true in how he sees the program.
Yes I missed the facebook live of @Volstylexx dinner.

Speaking of promises made by posters, Whatever happened to the guy that was going to eat the cat turd?
Or the one that recently said he would eat his own words if UT let a player come aboard with visions of playing two sports? He ducked and jived as usual Afterwards and wouldn’t stand up. I expected it from the source. Nary a drop of character from that source.

Actually play two sports. That remains to be seen.

If the respective coaches have no problem with it, let her give it a shot!

Actually Chuck, review the post. He said NO coach from a competing team would allow it ever. Then we all showed several examples of it happening, and then UT gave the OK to try. Never expected that one to live up to his words.

Another potential benefit for next season is that current players will already know what level of fitness they and their new teammates will need to be in.

IF they push each other so that they arrive at first official practice already in near game shape, then more of practice time can be devoted to teaching and getting used to playing together in different combinations. That, with the summer benefit of experienced players teaching concepts to new players, could shorten the learning curve for freshmen and transfers, compared to 2024.

yes. I believe he allowed his beliefs about the situation cloud his judgement about the perspective of other coaches. Makes me wonder if Vic, Kimmie, Geno or Dawn ever endorsed a combination player. Tara did but that was decades ago, before the rule changes affecting practice schedules.
