2025 Target List

What national guys are saying that Cenac is visiting LSU as a courtesy. I've not seen that anywhere else.
Gotcha…that seemed to be the stretch of McKee’s post but have seen folks saying Houston & Tennessee might lead LSU so doesn’t take much of a squint to see how he maybe got to that conclusion if that is indeed the case.

There is some lingering drama on the recruiting front as five-star Chris Cenac, the No. 7 overall player in the 2025 class, has yet to make a decision on his college destination.

Cenac and his family officially visited Tennessee last month and the Vols made a strong impression.

Some observers discounted Tennessee’s chances early in this recruitment, but the Vols have quietly hung around in this one since last spring.

Originally from New Orleans, Cenac attends powerhouse Link Academy in Missouri where current Vols Cam Carr and Cade Phillips and former Vol Julian Phillips all played.

Cenac has taken official visits to Houston, Auburn, Tennessee, Kentucky, Arkansas, and – most recently –, home state LSU.

LSU got the last visit, and many thought the Tigers would lock Cenac down during that trip. That didn’t happen and the buzz that we’ve picked up this week is that Tennessee is right in the middle of this ultra-competitive recruitment.

LSU remains a factor, but from what we’ve picked up this week it sounds like Houston and Kelvin Sampson may be the Vols’ biggest competition.

In any event, this one is murky, not only trying to discern the favorite, but as of now, no one knows when Cenac may make a decision.

This is the latest intelligence on a timeline from On3 national analyst Jamie Shaw on Thursday morning:

“As things stand, it still seems as if there is a question of whether or not he will sign early. Sources tell me that there are three scenarios in play. Cenac commits early but does not sign until the April signing period. Cenac signs early but does not commit until a later date (this possibility plays out if he is able to get his announcement on television during one of his games). Also, I am told that another option in play is that he waits entirely until after the early signing period to get everything done.”

Tennessee continues to recruit five-star Caleb Wilson, but that one seems to be trending elsewhere at the moment.

It’s my understanding the hogs have the largest basketball NIL budget in the SEC. If so, it shouldn’t be surprising if they signed several top 10 ranked guys.

It is considering the only teams we’ve heard recently UT, LSU and Houston, but that doesn’t mean they didnt up their NIL offer

So fair enough, I guess!
