What's Up Vol Nation!!,
You guys should be looking forward to this season! Big things in store assuming the club stays injury free.
Memphis vs. Tennessee
Taking into consideration rosters and coaching who gets the edge?? Objectively speaking that is... which I understand is a tough proposition on a Vol's board.
I think both teams are primed for a run in March.
What do you guys think????

Tennessee gets the edge and moves on to the Elite 8
Now shoo fly. Move on.

Well everyone outside of Memphis knows Josh sucks as a coach. If he can't get it done with that back court he should be fired
Would be a good game. Memphis' backcourt vs. UT's Front court.
What I like about UT's team is the mix of Vets, Newbs, and backups fighting for playing time. Add that to the comradery that seems to be taking place, and I think that would give us an advantage against Memphis.JMO
Agreed! ALL the chips on the table for Memphis this year. The heat will be on with an early exit in March. Maybe the same can be said for the Vol's. Tenn is stacked. If Barton stays consistent Tenn could make it to the promised land.
I don't think an early exit from the tourney will fire Zo, if he has a great year and underachieves in the tourney he will be fine. If he doesn't make the tourney he should be fired
Front court edge Vol's. Not sold on Pellom, Woodson or Shaq. Nichols could be a wildcard. Iverson plays mostly on the perimeter.
Back court edge Memphis. Those 4 seniors are the best group in the country. Although McRae is my pick for SEC POY.
Jackson, Johnson, Crawford and Dixon > Smith, Jones, Ware and Hancock.
Smith may be the best guard in the AAC this season (possibly in the nation), but Memphis' 4 are the best group of guards collectively. Not hard to see.
