Only if you don't get results. USU was 3-14 on 3rd down. You think fans will get sick of that? The crowd was part of that stat.

USU was 3 of 14 on third down conversions. I feel that for last night, at least, "Third Down for What?" forced the Aggies to wonder what to do for third down.

It was genius. First time in years I had seen the student section together like that. And it turned up on 3rd. Like it should be. FEAR NEYLAND AGAIN!

Being that I listened to the game on internet radio(not the effed up UTSports malfunction) and have no clue what you guys are talking about, it really does need to be overlooked. But don't mind me. Just go right ahead assuming that everybody else knows what you are talking about, when they don't. That is the way it's done around here.

Maybe I'm wrong, but I think the guy quoted was saying the benefit of orchestrating maximum fan noise is what we shouldn't overlook?

I'm in the same boat. I couldn't attend the game and have no idea what the Third Down thing is about. I watched the game on the internet but still have no clue. Could someone explain to me exactly what the Third Down thing is. Is it sort of like what Utah does with the Third Down Jump?

It's a terrible Lil Jon song called 'Turn Down For What'. Basically a club/party song. Somebody changed the words to THIRD down for what and we play it before 3rd downs.

There's a song that has a line in it "Turn down for what" and they play the music from the song (it's very distinctive, you remember it after hearing it the first time.) The Voltron flashes a "3rd Down for What!?" graphic and the LOUDER graphic scrolls on the boards. It's just a thing to get the crowd loud when the opposing team is on third down.
