#9 South Carolina @ Vanderbilt

No, but I thought about it earlier.

I'd rather root for Tennessee to win every game than root for things to fall into place because a coach I can't stand wins a game.

hey we won that game he might have ended up in some other conference at year's end and you'd never have to see or hear about him again :p

I've seen this act over and over again. Heard the same pitch from coach after coach. It's the same old Vandy.

I see you waited till after the game to post that GA.

If you can't see the difference in how they play and don't lay down, you haven't watched them as long as I have. They are going to be in every game that they play in the SEC east. Have you been able to say that before?

sure but since it's Vandy I say

how does clay Travis spin this one? I'll bet he harps on the missed PI and claims that vandy would've won if it was called.

Thanks for calling me an idiot, friend.

I can just as easily argue that it's stupid to have to pull for Vandy in week 1 against South Carolina to benefit Tennessee.

Tennessee has been down but it makes our program look pathetic when we have a rooting interest in the first game of the season. Vanderbilt and South Carolina no less...

Tennessee should rebuild on their own merit. Not depend on Vanderbilt beating South Carolina in week 1. Gross.

Knock SC all you will for their history, but its probably between them and UGA for the east this year. They'll get better as the year goes on, and it would have been nice for them to pick up a cheap loss before they hit their stride later in the year. Even if they had won tonight, Vandy was not going to be in contention for the division.

it's not like any help would be negative to this team either though

This is true but being the 1st game of the season, I'm going to pull against teams I dislike. It feels like a sad day when it comes down to being worried about week 1 and the outcome of Vandy and South Carolina though.

South Carolina did play in the SEC championship but Tennessee, Georgia and Florida are generally the top 3.

I'm not going to let a few years change my view. Especially when it's been the worst years in a long time. I'll let it play out. Vandy 0-1

I can't believe what I'm reading. SCAR is a top 10 team and UT hasn't been ranked in how many years? People are saying that UT should have no trouble with them?

Pure unadulterated insanity.

I'm telling you. I've actually spoken with the last two Vandy coaches prior to Franklin. The words are the same every single time.

Vandy has a way of uglying up a game. sC has a way of setting offensive football back 25 years. This game went according to the script.

Top 10 before people saw them play.

Preseason rankings mean nothing.

How about the fact that Tennessee beating a higher ranked South Carolina team benefits Tennessee more?

Or have you already just given up on Tennessee beating South Carolina...
