I have been wondering about this. The school must have done something extraordinary to keep the children safe.
I have also wondered if those children who were murdered were ones who happened to be outside of the classrooms at the time (bathroom, office, etc.)
What AR Has The Fastest Fire Rate?
Most modern rifles have a fire rate of about 300 rounds per minute (RPM). This means that, in one minute, you will shoot 300 rounds from your firearm.
The AR-15 is the most popular rifle worldwide and it can easily fire as many as 800 – 1200 RPM depending on the version of the gun, caliber, and trigger.
In contrast with the AR-15, AK-47 rifles have an average fire rate of about 700 RPM. The AK-47 is also a popular rifle used by militaries and law enforcement around the world
The AR-10 is a semi-automatic rifle that is similar to the AR-15. It has a lower rate of fire, which means you can expect it to shoot at around 330 RPM. The AR-308 is another recent semi-automatic rifle similar to the AR-15 and it has an average rate of fire of about 450 RPM.
And I'm glad criminals can't easily get their hands on full auto firearms.Well..... I also believe that law abiding citizens should be able to own full auto firearms as well without having to get a stamp from the ATF. The firearms act of 1933 was unconstitutional. Back then you could have cannons too.....you can still have a cannon, minus explosive rounds. It's just a big muzzle loader. Ironically, in most states you can legally purchase a military grade flame thrower, one of the most gruesome and destructive hand held weapons ever designed. A good one is about 1500 bucks.
And I'm glad criminals can't easily get their hands on full auto firearms.
(which would be the case if law abiding citizens could own them)
Before kids my wife and I traveled all over and lived in several awesome cities with our cool urban lifestyle. That came to an abrupt end when we had kids. I remember those carefree and fun times before kids fondly, but being a boring old parent is very gratifying and I can't even imagine living a life without my family now.
You can remind me of that all you wish even though it is not a point I ever attempted to make.Lol every time you mock a slippery slope argument I’m going to remind you of your “if we can ban anti aircraft missiles we can ban anything” argument
I think an anti-aircraft missile would be a weapon, not a gun.
I think a land mine is a weapon but not a gun.
I think a grenade is a weapon but not a gun.
I think a nuclear warhead is a weapon but not a gun.
You can remind me of that all you wish even though it is not a point I ever attempted to make.
I'll remind you of your 2A protects all weapons.....but it doesn't protect anti aircraft missiles, or fully automatic ARs.....but it protects everything else dammit.....except maybe......but it protects everything....other than.....
Nonsense
Maybe it's just you who cannot navigate a wet hill.
I have not seen any detail, but were the 3 children in the same class room as the substitute teacher? As a sub was she not as versed in the Active Shooter protocol? This could be inappropriate question and if so be kind and I'll delete.
That's the complete reverse of what is happening. You guys claim, you can't ban anything, it's all protected.....which is obviously BS. Just have an open and honest discussion. You’re 100% making a slippery slope argument. “Because you’ve given us this much power, there’s no reason we can’t take more”
You’re attempting to proclaim the ability to ban one weapon is a valid excuse to ban any/all weapons.
Then you wonder why we won’t agree to your “reasonable reforms”. Because we understand the more we give, the more you take.
