Active Shooter Killed At Nashville School

Should have been clearer. I was referencing the “card” itself - being in possession of one.

I’m aware of the 4473

I have "heard" that if you purchase legal weed in IL that they take a photo of your license....want to guess what happens to that photocopy?

I'd think a Google would answer that question. There is a WIKI if people agree with that definition. But again, it gets down to the nuts and bolts. I'd rather not have weapons that 'rapid fire' or high capacity magazines in the general public (or bullets that are designed to cause massive damage to the body).

What do you mean by rapid fire? I keep seeing so many people who are clearly clueless about what they are talking about when it comes to firearms. Literally saying things like “with an ar they can just hold the trigger and spray” among other idiotic things. So is that what you are also implying, that the ar platform is full auto?

You may need some x rounds per y seconds ratios.

(bring on the idiotic responses)

That’s the point. The x rounds per y seconds (rate of fire) of an AR is no different than the majority of all guns. 9mm, 40 cal, most all handguns, many rifles, some shotguns, etc.

I think the most logical assessment is that every single area needs to be looked into and a possible modification to laws is in order.
-School safety - wired lined doors should be required, training of offensive group of competent staff to be able to fight back. She decided to not go to one school because of security in place there.
-the mentally unstable - certain drugs are causing a lot of issues. We need care facilities that specialize in getting people on and off of prescription drugs that cause mind altering states. Not every drug can be used by every person so get people on the right medication and off of the wrong ones for their mental diagnoses. Also, maybe drugs are the problems.
-ease of gun access for the mentally unstable - I feel a database needs to be looked into for the unstable that are on specific drugs. This needs to be a database that allows a seller to look up and see if the person purchasing the gun is on prescription drugs that cause these tendencies.
-limiting social media - this will ruffle a lot of feathers but daily limits of social media within the population will be a very rewarding system. Getting into echo chambers is causing so much divisiveness in the current climate.
-push the extreme left and extreme right out of the political climate - referring to everyone we don't agree with as Nazi's, socialists or evil will lead to more and more of these types of things happening on both sides. We need to let the adults talk and work this out.

No, no implying they are full auto? Were fully automatic weapons banned? What I'm saying is that I want to keep a certain level of lethality off the street. Bullets that can do massive damage, weapons that are able to fire at a certain rate, etc. I'd rather not have a school shoot with the ability to fire off numerous rounds within a minute. Why do so many of this mass shooting situations involve AR's?

X rounds per second depends on how fast the person’s finger can pull the trigger. Keep expounding your ignorance.
No joke...
I had already typed, but then removed, the below response. I just wanted to see how long it would take someone to post the obligatory non-sensical response. Congrats...you won (53 seconds)

You have a gun test fired by 9 people of varying expertise....take the average.....easy peasy.

Darnit, off to google again to look at 'firing rates'....

Lol you shouldn’t need Google for this. But it does show you’ve been lied to by the media.

An AR is semiautomatic. Most guns in this country are. That means it fires when you pull the trigger.

May I ask how old you are? Seems like something most adults know

That makes no sense.

But that’s what I’m asking you. You keep saying “weapons that fire at a certain rate”, clarify that. Are you under the assumption that an ar fires at a faster rate?

Then why are gun nuts so adverse to a discussion of reasonable fire limits.
