I cant believe no one has pointed them in the direction of Ye Olde Steakhouse! Great atmosphere and Great food! Highly recommend Littons as well. Todd Blackledge featured their food in one of his Taste of the Town specials!

Copper Cellar is always good. Tupelo Honey or Cafe 4 are consistently good also and would give you a chance to walk downtown and hang out off campus.

I'm a bit partial to the Wasatch Front. I just moved from Utah last year. If you're in the Ogden area, go to Remuda Golf Course in Farr West. They have outstanding BBQ.

Slydell, where did you live out here. I retired from tne military and live in Syracuse now. Never been to Remuda Golf course but I do work at Glen Eagle. :good!:

If you prefer, personally if I were heading up that way, I'd go on up into Seymour and eat at Willie's... their pasta is off the chain.

They may be expecting good BBQ since they're traveling to the "South." But Knoxville is not a good BBQ town (not a good food town in general). If they want BBQ, tell them to avoid Calhoun's (because it's awful) and the only decent choices are Dead End and Sweet P's.

Best tavern is Suttree's.

They'll enjoy walking around downtown.

You need to try CAH

This is a little more typical of the Mtn's around here (Alta, Utah)

Alta, looked a little different in March (actually, the backdrop is Snowbird, but I was standing in Alta). I want to go back!

Best advice is to fly into Nashville and stay the entire weekend. Much more fun than Knoxville. Watch the game on TV at one of the gazillion bars here in town and avoid the crowd of obnoxious drunks.

OK folks. I'm about to rock some folks world here.
If you're coming I40 @ 15 mi before you reach Knoxville is a little town called Kingston. If you want to truly experience something unique and southern, then try this new restaurant.

Gloria Jeans Fine Southern Provisions
Gloria Jeans Fine Southern Provisions - Home

This chef from Knoxville has created dozens of traditional southern dishes with a flair. It opened @ a month ago, so a lot of you on here may not have tried it yet.

After the first week of opening they had to shut down because of the crowds, just to add staff and handle the insanity.

Been there once and absolutely loved it. What's crazy is that the prices are actually reasonable.

If you Aggies go, you may secretly become Vols. Beware!
