Afghanistan

Going to be painful to watch unfold. Our Feds....they are such failures in everything. I honestly cannot think of ONE thing they do correct.

Invaders have been trying to conquer and hold Afghanistan for over 2000 years without success.
Its where empires go to die. Even empires that have claimed it never really did anything with it, even collect taxes or establish much of anything. And most didnt actually conquer the area. Just got a claim somehow, and no afghani told them to shove it, because their life didnt change.

Not at all actually.

Some countries are entirely happy living like they are. Afghanistan is one of them. We can and should respect that.

Like I said. Painful to watch that we could ever expect a different outcome.

For anybody that's interested, "The Great Game" by Peter Hopkins is a pretty good book about some of the conflict between the British and Russians trying to gain control over Afghanistan, Pakistan.

We really need to stop this nation building BS we suck at it. We haven’t done it successfully since Japan. If another attack like 9/11 happens just saturation bomb the hell out of whomever did it and leave everything to rot in place. 20 years of American blood and treasure down the toilet. Again.
