Ainge DUI

Ainge DUI probably more likely than the Manning car accident with 2 broken legs.....internet rumor going around....Ya think?

OT. I got step family there.

Step dads side. Never been. Plan to visit sometime though.

It's pretty awesome except for the crazy, power tripping firefighters, (I kid, I kid) but yeah it's a good ol' place to have a family get together.

Well I'm not moving back to Tennessee. I don't do illegal drugs or drink and drive, but will be damned if I'm forced to consent to something based on a guy who could have had a bad day.

Well, there aren't many places where that isn't the law, so good luck finding a place.

once again there are no breathalyzers in my town anymore. You are submitted to a blood test and that is that. If you fail field sobriety test you go to jail.

I don't think you got the whole story from your friend. The law in Tennessee is clear. They cannot charge someone with DUI without either a positive blood test or declining the blood test. Can't even take you to jail for holding without one of those. If they did, her lawyer did a horrible job on the case and she needs to ask for her money back.

My guess is, they took her blood and the quick test was positive for THC, so she was charged and booked. They re-test the second sample for the official court report. Remember, DUI is not just for alcohol, it's for more than the legal limit of alcohol or any illegal substance.

Well here in Chattanooga they give you a blood test on the side of the road, breathalyzers are not even used anymore. The main reason behind that is a breathalyzer does not show whether you are on weed, meth, cocaine or any other drug. So then even if you haven't been drinking you can still be convicted of DUI. Thanks, have a good day.

I don't buy this statement , just had a friend about 3 weeks ago that got pulled over in east brainerd and they did not do blood test but they did do the breathalyzer and passed. So yes they still do it.

Very possible, but there is not a legal limit on weed since it's not legal, show how can they say she had too much to drive? (sorry there stil isn't a sarcasm font)

Ainge has an addiction problem. This is bad news if true, he has relasped. This is much bigger than just a DUI.

Well in Soddy they don't issue breathalyzers anymore.

Where is Rodney King when you need him.. I know dead.. It took 20 minutes for the ambulance to respond... I sure they stop off a In and Burger for a milkshake on the way over..

Give it 3-4 years. The blood test is becoming the new standard.

Apparently you have never lived or been over here.

Arkies and Okies don't take kindly to their rights being screwed with.

They may be hicks over here but they understand the constitution.

Well, for weed and other illegal drugs, there is a limit for DUI. It's zero. That's what a lot of people don't understand. Any in your system, and you're charged with DUI.

It used to be a different charge, DWI, but they were merged in a law change a couple of years ago. It's a big reason they went to the blood tests back then and made them mandatory this year.

So constitutionally speaking, what do you think should be done to charge a person with DUI?

So you believe if you refuse to submit to a sobriety test, that we should hand your keys back and tell you to drive safe?

quit trolling. you said it was good policy to send someone to jail for 30days for refusing a breathalyzer. you can get off on the DUI charge, they still take you to jail overnight if they think you are drunk. you make irritating claims to get people to respond and then refute their replies with blanket statements like these. if you actually believe in something we are talking about, stand up for it instead of hiding behind empty rhetorical questions like a choleric coward

30 days was not mentioned earlier, at least not that I saw. But I have no problem with holding a DUI suspect who refuses to submit to any form of testing, for up to 24 hours.
