Ainge going off on Graham!

He came, he saw, he left. Goodbye. No big loss for the program. Glad we didn't pay him more to stay. FSU will chew him up and spiit him out when their 4 and 5 star athletes don't perform as expected. And he has burned two bridges back to the SEC, except with Vandy or Kentucky of course

Coach Graham is a very solid and steady professional football coach. It might be that he just did not feel comfortable working with Jones, who probably reads the latest self-help books for salesmen and corporate climbers, with all of the trendy social psychology buzz words.

Do you feel better now that you were able to squeeze your undeserved insults at UT's football coach around the words "might" and "probably"?

Good. I'm glad you got that out of your system.

PS: Crowning it with a mention of "talking heads" and "gossip" was beautiful.

That's the thing. The FSU RBs will perform as expected.

I might be in the minority but I dont care that its Jay Graham leaving. I am more upset that we have to start over with yet another running backs coach and the last time I remember us having a really good running game was during the Bush administration.

So it is Bush's fault!:clapping:

I was being generous. Undeserved insults? I think not. Jones makes no secret of his sales methods, and they just are not CJG's style.

Not gonna read through all the responses.

My take, was that CJG felt like he could move up the coaching ladder faster somewhere else. Money was only part of the story.

Missing out on recruits...yes. How will top RB recruits look at us when we cannot even retain our own proven RB coach, who actually played here and resigned from a future Hall of Fame coach to return here? And don't give me "what RB did Graham sign?" CJG did his job; he had some very good RBs wanting to come to Tennessee. It's the HC's job to make offers commitable at the right times and close the deals. CJG was not exactly in an enviable position in that regard. So he wanted to be our recruiting coordinator. After Dooley was fired, he was in effect our recruiting coordinator, without getting paid for it. Without CJG, the 2012 class would have been a disaster. I don't feel sorry for any assistant coach making over a quarter million dollars a year, but I do believe the man earned more recognition than he received. I think Coach Graham means a lot more to our players and recruits than the HC who will be here for thirty years realizes.[/QUO

Man crush?

Thread summary: 1 there is no income tax in the state of Florida 2 in two recruiting cycles JG never landed us a big time back 3 EA wins a narrow credibility vote over Basilio

And I call cheap shot on you, just another VN poster attacking another poster for expressing his opinion. If you think I am "full of ish," the ignore icon is on the lower left. Use it. I just did.

And it says trying to be nicer under his screen name . Wonder what he was like b4

WTF kind of stupid, nasty reply is that? Answer is...the kind that I will not be seeing anymore from you.

You're too much fun to ignore.

lol that you got your feeling hurt and felt needlessly attacked after needlessly attacking our coach.

The fact that you call "cheap shot" after the post I responded to is absolutely hilarious. Thank you for that. You're a gem.

Probably upset that it took an offer from Free Shoes U for him to get a raise. The man should have been payed according to his importance to the staff & team. This could have been brewing behind the scenes (since salaries were announced) for some time. Who knows?

Paid

I love when people call shenanigans. One of my favorite real life terms. Goes over a lot of peoples heads though.

Get a reallly dumb look and a huh?

You mean the "shenanigans" comment isn't why Vol Main got his panties in a twist? Maybe I should have been more blatant.

(It's obvious it went over at least two peoples' heads.)
