JG left a good situation at SC to come here. Obviously it wasn't what he hoped and he got out. People do that all the time. When he came back to Knoxville, he took a job not a position in the mafia.

Besides the ones that were just kicked to the curb in the previous staff, what is this "alarming rate" you're talking about? What coaching departure have I missed?

Is this writing on the wall in invisible ink? Do I need to send in box tops for the decoder ring? Since I'm not an insider, please let me in on it.

O-12 in rbs he recruited the last 2 years. FSU will get rbs regardless of jg's recruiting

He is a good dude, but quiet. He mentioned Dracula movie and taco bell got him to sign with UT. Its not like that anymore.
And lastly, spurrier is a golfer. His work ethic and requirements of his coaches aren't the same as many.

I don't view either as a traitor. Both are men who make their own professional decisions. But CBJ hasn't run anybody off. To the contrary, he's tried to make both a part of his staff. Ask all the players that CBJ invited and hosted at his "meet n greet" or former vol "reunion" events in Knoxville in Nashville since he's been here. Doubt they'll tell you he's running anybody off.

He has a track record of this. According to EA show 1 and done at UT Martin, UTC, Miami of Ohio, and now here. Not sure how long he stayed at USCe. Give the guy credit for getting the opportunities but this act will get old to ADs.

JG has moved around a good bit, and for anyone to think he was never going to leave again was absurd. Sux he left "like this", but thats the way it went. Good luck to him and the next time he crosses paths with UT may we beat the ever-lovin chit out of what ever team he is with!

This!^ Done. Who the hell are these phantom coaches leaving at an alarming rate? Wilcox and the boys fleeing Dooley doesnt apply here.

This! People are freaking out over a rb coach like our program is doomed. Let's let CBJ coach a game before we fold up shop on him. To my knowledge JG is the only coach to leave this staff, correct?

To hell with Ainge? To hell with the guy standing and defending his football program? The guy who's passionate about wanting everyone to go all in and get our program back on the rails? I don't think so chief. We need more guys who love UT as passionately as Ainge.

How long would you expect an up and coming assistant to stay at Martin, Chattanooga or Miami, OH? Lets quit looking for character flaws, thank him and move on.

Agree. He's in the rear view, all I care about is who the next coach is who's gonna recruit a big time rb or or 2 and who's gonna help get our program back to the top.

Coach Graham did his job; the HC has to be the closer. I have hopes for Coach Butch, but sometimes he comes across like a car salesman with a pom pom in his hand. His line about being here "thirty years" is nothing short of bizarre.

There is no choice; we have to shake this off and go on, but I do have concerns that a time will come when we will look back on this day.

When FSU joined the ACC, after apparently having the chance to join the SEC, the joke was "why did the chicken cross the road?" The answer was " to get to the ACC." Seems like from a lot of what I've heard today about Graham leaving, the same can be said. I've also heard he wasn't comfortable with Jones' staff & the O we are going to run. We'll be okay though, I have faith in bUTch!

Good for him. He gets opportunities for a reason. I guess it's different for us as fans that have grown up loving the orange. That would mean more to me to wear the orange and run through the T than a title upgrade.

Note: It was all done jokingly and may not have been a big deal. It was done jokingly, and he may not have meant anything by it, and CBJ may have taken issue with it. It may have been a non-factor.
