VolzOwn! Said Tennessee countered back with associate HC title and more money...AP also said the same thing. Posters on VQ saying Washington has accepted TIFWIW....”VolzOwn!” Is 100% tho...but the guy that said he has family in the OSU AD and said he had accepted, I dunno about how reliable he is...

Relax. Coach Heupel is obviously going for "his guy". If it takes another day or two, and if we end up with #2, or #3, so be it.

He's putting together a staff he can work with, and trust. The defensive side is going to be more important than most realize. So it's important that he gets it right. What I would take away from all of this is that he's not comfortable with Steele. So let's hope that's not what we end up with.

Exactly. Doesn't matter if you can hang 50 on the other team, if they can hang it right back. We have to be able to mess with the opposing offense and cause chaos with their ability to score effectively.

I’m not crazy about hiring someone who hasn’t called plays but we aren’t exactly in a position to be picky. He seems like a good coach. Players like him. If Heup thinks he can get it done, sign him up let’s roll.

Well, old Cornbread didn't exactly show us his prodigy like defensive skills. Maybe we need the guy who has been stuck behind the scenes and is ready to shine.

Plus, coaches talk. It stands to reason there is more to AW than meets the eye. He might have been doing more than people realize, and might have the skill set, but lacks the stage.

Let's give him the stage.

Looks like UT is trying their damndest to hire the guy not because he is black but because of his qualifications. That is real equal opportunity.

He wants associate HC, but he isn't even a coordinator at his current (former?) School. I mean he may be great, but he may be demanding a lot up front.
