That may be a little assumptive. We don't know that he originally "wanted" or "demanded" the AHC title. He may have just viewed the stability and situation at tOSU as more attractive, and our counter was to bump the offer and title.

Rumor in OH is that TN is being "Gundyed" by Washington's agent to get him $$$ and co-DC at OSU. Rumors are what they are, of course.

I do not see them paying a co-coordinator as much as they are paying their current DC. If they do, talk about having a pissed of DC. If UT offers out right DC and over 1 mil a year, the guy would be an idiot not to accept, regardless of the current star of the program. A true competitor would jump at the opportunity to return UT back to glory. Do this and you would have any job in the country in front of you. Just my opinion.

Honestly the only one I could see is Matt Barnes (secondary coach). But they are very deep at linebacker and there may be potential for a couple of kids to hit the portal after spring practice.

They have some really old guy there as co-DC now making $1.1M or so. He's likely nearly out the door so...... as I said, rumor is there's some positioning going on.

A quick look, that old guy retired a few weeks ago and was making $1.1M so....... there's some truth that possibly Washington is trying to leverage our offer to snag that position.

I'd love to see Kevin Simon on the coaching staff my dream scenario going off of the staff you just listed would be Washington Co-DC or sole DC and DT, Garner DE, Simon OLB, Steele Co-DC or just ILB, Martinez S, CB? That would give us 6 defensive coaches give one of them Special teams as well possibly then we would have 4 coaches on offense (5 really with Heupel)
I just hope that if Simon wants to coach on the field that would help get Henry back in the fold?
