I'm not sure which team deserves to be in the game, but the meltdown will be alot more fun to watch if Alabama gets left out. That would be alot of fun to see.

"In 1985, the Vols went to New Orleans to take on the 'Canes. Everybody with a brain knew who the better team was, and it wasn't debatable. Why even bother playing the game? Just crown the Hurricanes as Sugar Bowl champs."

"Everybody with a brain knows that Alabama would stomp a mud hole in every single team there is, other than LSU."

So, do we see where this sort of logic can lead us?

But would winning by a point have changed that?

Would bamas kicker just going 4-6 have changed anything? If LSU had not let Bama run up the and down the field on them, and basically lucked their way into winning despite getting outgained and outplayed. I would feel different. They proved nothing to me in that win except that they are the luckiest sons of *****es in CFB.

ESPN has already cast its die, they're pushing more for Alabama LSU (but they're trying to make it sound like they're not)

I seen Wisconsin/Mich.State earlier this year too. They played again and it was awesome.

not with a month of prep

Take a look at UF-FSU in 96 when you have some free time

it can go both ways....unfortunately there's a slight towards a "reversal" quite a bit...(if 1 was close 2's not close at all, if 1 was a blowout, 2 tends to be a much closer game)

We are going to have to agree to disagree, because I am getting tired. I'm outta here. It"s been fun arguing about teams I don't give a crap about for a change.:hi:goodnight.

Sorry, I forgot special teams weren't part of football anymore.

It won't matter in the end. Alabama has been talked up by the media outlets so much this year that the perception about them is that they are the only solution for the number 2 spot.

i bet you mean ESPN has already talked up all the outlets so much

I'm a Bama fan and I still voted for Oklahoma State. Do I want a rematch? Yes. Do I feel that it is the best thing for college football. No.

I would like to see OSU or any number of other teams get a shot. I'm guessing it will be LSU vs Bama 'cause the big heads counting the money probably see a lot more $ signs with that match up. If it ends up LSU vs Bama, I probably won't watch. OSU or Stanford, I'll watch.

Actually a Bama/LSU will bring way fewer viewers than a OSU/LSU matchup. Big 12 population centers dwarf SEC population centers.

Bammer should have beat LSU at home if they wanted a shot at the title, they didn't, so they don't deserve to go. End of story!

Title game matches #1 v #2. That would be LSU v BAMA. If you want: (i) only conference champions in the game, (ii) a "more exciting" game (I guess that means more TDs in this day-i personally love old school SEC defensive battles), (iii) teams from different conferences playing each other, or (iv) teams from different geographic regions/tv markets playing each other, then change the damn rules of the BCS. This should be interesting tonight.

This is where the plus one would end all debate. These clowns need to at least get this in place. I don't care honestly. Bama would be a better game. I think OSU is just about as deserving though.

It should be a simple answer.

Bama had their chance against LSU already, in T-town might I add, and lost.

Let somebody else have a shot at LSU now.

Either way Saban will play his old team or Les will play his old team.

I think if Bama would have lost in Baton Rouge by 3 they probably would have a better case for a rematch. On paper OSU has a better body of work, but with that said I think Bama is better than OSU.

It seems like they are all of sudden moving from body of work to which team is the #2 best team, isn't this the reason why Boise St. was left out in the past? Their body of work was not as good?

If you go with which team is better... Alabama
If you go with which team has a better body of work... OSU

The 6 team play off seems like a good way of going with this.
