I wasn't thinking from UGA's side. I'm thinking from Haynes's side. UGA doesn't seem a like a very attractive RB room for a guy of his talent. He's currently top 2 on Bama's depth chart with Jam Miller. As you said, my guess is he stays there. And if not, I don't see UGA being an attractive option unless his desire is to be close to home and outweighs his desire for immediate playing time. You’re right, but my gut tells he gets a spot. UGA likes to play 5 RBs and we have 2 coming off major knee injuries.
It’s probably a moot point because I think Haynes stays at Bama.
UGA has taken the approach that RBs who want to play in the NFL don’t mind sharing carries because there are only so many a body can take. Better to take fewer hits in college so you have more to take in the pros. Some guys don’t like that approach as much, but Haynes doesn’t seem to mind. He went to a full RB room in Bama, after all. He would immediately be in the starting rotation in UGA’s RB room.I wasn't thinking from UGA's side. I'm thinking from Haynes's side.
