There is aggressive competition for these “high-need” positions.

Sorry to self-reply, but I think a lot of the Alabama talent that leaves will get scattered about the southeast. Established players transfer to schools that are scheme or coaching fits, but a lot of the younger Bama guys that might be leaving tend towards the schools that recruited them in HS.

Bama kids are after more $$$$. That was Bonds move. What they should do with coaching change. Check the market.

Washington kids will also as will Arizona as soon as Fisch takes Washington.

That is the new college and kids are nutty to not check out options.

Anyone that enters from Bama you kind of have to consider. The question is "Would they make us better?". Only the coaches really know that. We, as fans, will certainly have opinions, but roster numbers are tight, so taking someone means most likely losing someone else after the Spring.

We will likely have a couple departures come spring. I wouldn't worry too much about the numbers.

The Saban chain reaction is bound to provide a few more options. Alabama and Washington players have a 30 day portal window, and depending on who Washington hires it could produce another crop from somewhere else.

Kalen just took 3 possibly 4 WRs and put them in the NFL in Odunze, Polk and McMillan or whatever his name is. I would think WR should be the position that is pretty safe and guys like Williams and Ffrench want to play in that system.
