Or maybe he's accustomed to talking his way out of things because of who he is.As I said before, AK talking to the cops was a "rookie mistake" that tells me he's not been in that much trouble. Anyone who has talked with the cops without an attorney has been told once they got an attorney: "Never do that. Shut up and call me."
As for the Bama sidelines, I wish he'd switched at halftime to the GA side so some empty heads around here could really explode.
If we'd get our ish together and PLAY in an NC game again, I'm sure AK would stand with us, even if we played Bama.
Did they know ? It said he wasnt arrested until after the gameThe fact the NFL knew about his arrest before the game and still let him play in the pro bowl is interesting and could be a sign of how severe they think the charges are. The NFL is all about 'protect the sheild'. I'm glad the NFL and saints are not jumping the gun on this before getting all the facts.
People who fight over being “disrespected” are the biggest idiots imaginableSure is a lot of blind fan loyalty here with excuses.
Guy went looking for trouble blah blah...guy may have been drinking but if you're AK and life on easy mode, you gotta walk away from stuff but like many...I'm not gonna be disrespected. Throwing punches and punching a guy on the ground that's also getting stomped ..oh well AK can deal with the court system and paying people money
I don't feel one bit of sympathy for the guy.
Sounded to me like Kamara wanted to keep the guy off the elevator. Maybe the guy had a problem with someone in Kamara's group, and Kamara was trying to de-escalate the situation. The guy takes offense, disrespects Kamara, and things go down hill from there. I'm not saying that happened. But until all the facts come out, I'm not ready to convict Kamara.
Just saying, from the tone of everything I have a feeling as more info comes out opinions will soften somewhat. AK is not 18. Yes, what happened was messed up. People shouldn't beat folks up like that in a perfect world. But we don't live in a perfect world.Dude got a broke eye socket and a paycheck. Trust me he's fine, probably happy even. You are seeing the end results of a moron picking the wrong fight. Trust me dude didn't just randomly say someone was ugly out of nowhere then try to push into an elevator. There was some leadup. But as I've said before the fact dude came out with minor nicks and scratches says they showed a lot of restraint. From what they said there were at least 5 guys total that jumped the guy. One an NFL running back. You walk away with that with just a busted eye socket you are a lucky fella. If they were really out of control and wanted to hurt him it would have ended bad. I'm 47 grew up in some rough areas been through some tough scrapes. Was never a troublemaker. I have learned that alcohol leads folks to do dumb stuff especially when they see a payday at the end of the tunnel.
I will say it again for effect. This guy called one of AKs friends ugly meaning he got a good look at at least one of them. But only described one of them, by name the NFL player. He went in looking for trouble and likely got let off soft. IMO. If the guy takes it the criminal route and presses felony charges then they should get what they get. But he WONT. He will go for a settlement because it was the plan. Not gonna get as much of a settlement from a former NFL player. 5000 bond says misdemeanor charges to me unless the guy pushes harder. Let's see how it plays out. More info is slowly leaking out even now.
The guy that was beat up was most likely looking for an altercation. He tried provoking them and then kept walking towards them. AK putting his hands on the guy to keep him from progressing was probably the best thing he could do in that situation if they were on an elevator with nowhere to retreat. Obviously the continued beating was excessive, but I don’t think this makes AK a thug.
Anyone that’s been around college athletics and actually gotten to know some athletes knows that many of them are very careful going out to clubs (some don’t even go out at all) to avoid fights, because there are always people out there that want to challenge them. I knew some linemen at UT that would only drink in their rooms or at small house parties because they told me how often people tried to fight them at bars/clubs.
I feel confident once a jury hears that dude never swung on anyone, and that Alvin hit/stomped him 8 times (3 times when down), they will be ready to convict him. He needs to get this guy paid handsomely and in a hurry.Sounded to me like Kamara wanted to keep the guy off the elevator. He's going to end up paying a fat civil judgement or settlement either way. I don't see how he avoids assault charges unless there is some evidence we haven't heard yet about him being provoked.I feel confident once a jury hears that dude never swung on anyone, and that Alvin hit/stomped him 8 times (3 times when down), they will be ready to convict him. Find a good woman..
Get married...
Have some children!
Use those millions to build a family legacy...
Damn why is this concept so hard?
Stay out of places where trouble can happen, and you can get targeted because of your status.
You're probably right. That's why this case won't go to a jury. It will be settled with a plea agreement of some sort would be my guess. Part of that agreement would be restitution.I feel confident once a jury hears that dude never swung on anyone, and that Alvin hit/stomped him 8 times (3 times when down), they will be ready to convict him. This also confirms that bowl games are useless and meaningless.
These guys got paid a minimum of $40k for the game but obviously didn't care but we expect college players to care about and insist they play in bowls when they get zero.
