American war dead are "Losers and Suckers," per Trump

He specifically refuted those comments being made during that trip, which was the basis of The Atlantic article. Then he was asked if Trump had ever said those things and obviously couldn’t prove that. Then he wound things up with a re-statement of his personal contempt for Trump.

If Trump said them, then let him pay the price for it.

But as of now, there is no one that has come forward with verifiable information that he has, only feelings and opinions that he would be capable of saying those words.

Again, I have no defense of a man that actually said those things. And I personally can’t stand Trump the person. But I do find it quite ironic that Democrats and media are trying to prove the moral bankruptcy of Trump by fabricating lies.
Great post. This is why I think Trump will win again. If the Dems would have mostly just kept their mouths shut these past 4 years, not attacked literally everything the man says and does, and done everything possible to try and tear him down and remove him from office then they might have had a shot to beat him. Instead, all they’ve done is highlight their own lies, hypocrisy, extreme agendas, and just how deep their ties to the MSM really are and that’s why Trump will win again. Trump was going to Trump no matter what and he very well might have turned off so many people that it cost him re-election but the Dems decided to out-Trump Trump. That’s how I see it anyway. We will see soon!

Did common sense tell you that Trump raw boned a porn star while his wife was nursing a new born baby at home and that years later Trump would pay her off to keep quiet while implicating his side kick in a felony?
you'll believe anything as long as it says something bad about Trump no matter how ridiculous, so I get it. You were probably the first one to hop on the "pee tapes" train.

Fun fact: Trump is actually on video calling military commanders losers

Well many are ****** commanders...look at Vindman and his own men who refused to deploy with him, so he's right there in some respects. The ones who aren't already laugh at the ones who are, so once again only the losers and their virtue signalers cry, while the rest sit back and laugh at the hilarity of your outrage.

According to eyewitnesses, after a White House briefing given by then-chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, General Joe Dunford, Trump turned to aides and said, "That guy is smart. Why did he join the military."

and....

While standing next to the grave of John Kelly's son on Memorial Day, Trump asked Kelly, "I don't get it. What was in it for them?"

How do you take things like that out of context? He either said them and they are horrible... or he didn't say them. There is no room for misinterpretation.
If he said anything, it wasn't with sinister intent or making fun of the dead. Hell, I think it would be along the same lines of me wondering why Trump wanted to be president. He could have very easily lived the rest of his life as a popular figure and not had to deal with some of the nonsense that he is dealing with. Same would cross my mind for soldiers that on the surface would have far better opportunities waiting for them in the private sector. You are thankful that those people are around, but by simply asking the question, that doesn't make it an inappropriate thing to ponder or reflect on. His weakness is that some people can read without moving their lips... Trumps may be that he has to talk things out as he thinks about stuff... and these jackals in the media or people that just don't like him chose to take them out of context or weaponize them words.

I’ve never heard this, I find it hard to believe.

Trump is a giant, sh*t-talking douche. Does it really surprise anyone that he said this? Of course not.

While he talks a big stick, he's really a complete and utter softy. 100% dove. His money and connections got him "bone spurs" to avoid serving in Nam. Further, to this day, one of the smallest, pettiest and most pathetic things Trump ever did was blast John McCain - an actual war hero. Just vile.

And oh BTW, Fox News confirmed a good portion of the claims, so yeah, it happened.
John McCain was a corrupt loser. It had nothing to do with him being a POW (although he rattled out fellow soldiers then too)

I just posted Trump, on video, calling military commanders "losers." Impugning the military is clearly in his wheelhouse.

The point is... Trump supporters/conservatives/Republicans do not require much corroboration of allegations made against Democrats, or in this case, an adversary of Trump. The exact opposite is true when the allegation is made against Trump. That PizzaGate thread went on forever... and I do specifically remember that @SamRebel35 pushed it hard.... but now, "named sources" are suddenly important? Ridiculous.

I don't care if the sources are ever named, an accusation without any proof is meaningless. If I know the person's name who makes the accusation, does it suddenly automatically make the accusation true? Why should it? Even then, it is still He said she said. As per pizzagate, there's a big difference to note here. With pizzagate, we had evidence available to anyone willing to look at it, but mainstream media chose not to report on it (other than to give a phony debunking of a strawman interpretation of what pizzagate actually is). In the Trump vs vets case, if there is any evidence to corroborate what the unnamed sources are claiming, it is being withheld from the public. More likely, no evidence exists and it is still just he said she said, in which case I don't begrudge anyone their right to draw their own conclusions, so long as the same leniency is reciprocated.

You should hear the way enlisted talk about offices, make you blush.
Irrelevant. The question is simply whether Trump would say something like this. We've produced numerous of him saying stuff like this on the record.

Funny you said that. I was thinking that earlier today before I read this post. I remember you not liking Trump and being pretty down the middle in doling out fairly equal criticism. You’ve since hurled more criticism towards Dems and I completely understand why. They’re completely out of control. I didn’t pay attention to politics back when the younger Bush was in office (either one actually) but there’s no way the Dem disdain, lying, and overall obsession was anywhere near the level it is with Trump. What in the world will CNN write about when he’s gone? I think they will have 4 more years to figure it out but, whether in 4 months or 4 years, Trump will be gone and they’ll have a big gap to fill.

The only time I've seen the MSM and liberals this out of control was during the Nixon administration, and I think that actually had more to do with pre-Nixon activism spawned by civil rights and antiwar protests. The divisiveness started by Obama and his clown show set a similar stage for Trump. Having said that, it's also likely that Trump and Nixon would have been disliked by the "news" media under any circumstances since neither could be accused of pandering to the press.

Being a Viet Nam era vet, I can safely say the left have said a lot worse things about the military and those who served. Trump's mouth and twitter finger are problematic, but to have said this seems a real stretch.

Here is the context you're missing. Bolton didn't say the disparaging remarks didn't happen. Who are you trying to fool, yourself?

BOLTON: “According to what that article said, made disparaging remarks about soldiers that people buried in the cemetery in connection with the decision for him not to go to the ceremony that was planned that afternoon and that was simply false. I don’t know who told the author that, but that was false and I recount that in my book the room where it happened and reaffirmed that in response to questions the next day.”
Your selective belief in context is quite impressive when put into context.
