Blah. If Butch Jones goes on to be successful, Dave Hart is not going anywhere. I just hope he does so people on this board will stop groaning about the state of the program. Ridiculous. More to life ya know?

So when is the date for season ticket renewals due? Im hoping with all these people who don't renew I can get some really good seats.

I will reserve judgement on Butch till I see what he can do with SEC atheletes.:thumbsup:

I want to see him coach a few games.. How he manages games.. Can he recruit.. He gets a pass next year , just like Dooley did.. Next year will be more about how the team plays. Also do we see a team improve over the course of the year.. There is enough talent there to win 7 or 8 ballgames. The schedule is tough though...

Sitting on the fence until he either proves that he can recruit and win here or he proves that he is a continuation of the same sh!t that we've seen for the last several years.

One thing he can do to get a little more leeway in the beginning is to keep JG and bring Tee home.

Another point of exaggeration. Gundy was not a serious target. He himself said today that the "teams did not go as deep as anyone thinks" in negotiations. I don't think we ever even offered him.

Strong we definitely offered, but he had excellent reasons to turn us down. He's loyal to Louisville for sticking by him and he is getting a big raise anyway.

So we really only got rejected by one guy, and local Vol fans in the area think Jones is as good or better than Strong anyway. He is in fact 2-1 vs Strong with the only loss coming in OT.

You said it. " up and coming coach". As discussed on this very board many times we could not afford another "up and coming coach" . We had to get a big splash hire. We did not. Not only did we not get a big splash hire, but we didn't even come close. Your right Hoosier Vol, not many wanted this job, thats the problem in itself. That's on Cheek and Hart.

This is a bad sign for the future of Tennessee football. Again, like I said, I hope I am dead wrong on Butch, but I am very concerned.

I am right there with you. Too me, getting back on the fence after DD is a little bit of a leap of faith. Unfortunately, we seem to be back to the posture where if you are anything but 110% blindly supporting the new hire then you just need to go be a Bammer.

He is our coach now! love it or hats it we have to get behind him until he gives us legit reasons not too. hell who knows he could be second coming of Gen.Neyland (3 Hailmary's and fingers CROSSED) or he could be a dooley. I will support him till he becomes the latter.

That this post got two likes shows that we have some trash in our fanbase. Said trash should change their allegiance to alabama. They are a better fit for that program.

Nothing wrong with being concerned or being on the fence or saying you will wait and see.

Saying Hart should be fired immediately...those fans can find someone else to root for. Please!
