It's not okay for anyone to destroy property. A president should be encouraging law enforcement to do their jobs and quell the vandalism and acts of violence. A president should not be encouraging fellow citizens to take up arms against the vandals and looters.

You can go from "Press" to target in an instant for saying or filming the wrong thing. You can be white and in the wrong place and get mobbed.
