And so it begins...

If you add A&M to the west, who do you add to the east? My first choice would be FSU.

None of the ACC schools will leave to come to the SEC...None of them could benefit the SEC anyways..Did you see how many fans UNC brought to Nashville?...Pathetic

Good points. Couldn't hurt for basketball purposes, though, I would think.

I hope things don't change too much. I wouldn't mind a couple teams moved around here and there, but I wouldn't really want to see a bunch of 16 team super conferences or anything like that.

Whatever it is, I want Tennessee to play Alabama every year, and I'd love for them to be in the same division if possible.

We could always try and invite Duke, that way vandy won't be the worst team in the league anymore, and Basketball wise have TN,KY,and Duke in the same conference would be ratings gold. Mostly the latter two.

Looking at it from a television market viewpoint - Ga Tech would be the obvious choice (Atlanta Market).

I'd be interested in West Virginia. Not much tv market but pretty solid in major sports categories.

Louisville makes little sense - they're more pathetic in football than we are. :)

The SEC is trying to better itself when it expands.

Ga Tech won't happen, the SEC wouldn't want it.

WV brings nothing to the table. At all. Morgantown is absolute trash.

Louisville would be exciting from a basketball standpoint, but little more.

I'd like to see TAM, OU, VT, KU, OkS, KSU.

There are so many graduates from SEC schools plus the UGA base I don't think Ga Tech would increase the market much if any.

i've argued all along that au has more history with teams in the east, and they're the easternmost west school (more east than vandy). But the sec likes to divide by state, and arkansas is the easternmost school without an in-state rival.

lsu?

Would it be possible that both Texas and A&M jump ship when the Big 12 goes down the tubes???...Or for that matter we end with Texas, A&M, OK, and OKSt...we could have 4 divisions and a 2 week "mini-playoff"...

No, and no.

I don't see the point in expanding to 14. Divisions with seven teams would be odd, I think.

Don't look for Texas to join a conference that currently exists. They will either go Independent or try to use their newly formed alliance with BYU and Notre Dame to form a new power confernce that would also include OU. Texas and OU would lose too much power by joining an existing conference which is why they didn't join the PAC 10.

The fact you call Morgantown absoulute trash and then advocate adding Stoolwater to the league shows you are either ill informed or not very sharp.

Awfully high on that SEC mountain. I'm kinda surprised actually, all things considered.

Awesome. Can't wait to add some dead weight.
Texas is just waiting for that dead weight to make the jump and take the blame for breaking up the Big XII. An anual home and home with Notre Dame is much greater than a home and home with aTm.

A&M would never win the conference in football or basketball, would completely screw up the divisions, and would force the SEC to add another mediocre team...why does everyone want to do this again?
