Another bad apple (George Floyd case)

Asking the wrong guy

Oh, I know that you're not claiming that. I just find it somewhat amusing that your friend and the people in the video are claiming that he's a cop attempting to sow dissent while many replies to the video are confident that this guy is on the Soros payroll. Reminds me a lot of a significantly more melancholy blue dress/white dress.

The latter seems completely unrealistic to me, and the former (while slightly more plausible) doesn't strike me as likely given that the entire narrative surrounding the race issue in this country renders viewers en masse far more sympathetic to these lootings; it's not the '90s anymore, and the media isn't calling the racially-motivated police brutality issue a wash just because businesses are being destroyed so this kind of stuff only puts the police in a greater pickle.

I would agree with Ricky that this guy seems like run-of-the-mill antifa.

The solid black screams antifa to me.

I think a major issue that results in turning decent people/police officers into the problem is as follows.

1) High stress job- self explanatory

2) Overworked, not enough officers to do the job effectively which adds to number 1.

3) The public is getting less and less respectful and people are just more difficult to deal with. Just my opinion.

4) public distrust of police, this is a chicken vs egg argument in my opinion. Some of the public will tell you it's because of police attitude, the others will tell you the opposite. Whatever side you fall on is inconsequential, w we all need to find a way to fix it but events like the one in MN sure as hell don't help anything.

I’m 100% okay with limiting their workload (less traffic enforcement, less drug enforcement, no roadblocks, etc).

I also think there’s an element of attracting insane people (similar to politics) because of the power the position holds. Idk if there’s a way to fix that.

Police would get more respectful if they spent more time on the things we respect (enforcing/investigating rape, murder, theft) and less time harassing/Karen-ing (a lot of the things I already mentioned) they would gain more respect.

Edit: I just wanted to add a genuine thanks for your opinion on how to fix the issues. We don’t hear enough people try to address it.

This just kind of blows my mind, really.

Cop did a despicable thing. No evidence it was racially motivated, but let's assume it was for the sake of argument. Once the autopsy gets back, he will get tried with murder and will certainly be found guilty.

His department condemns him. Every PD in the country condemns him. Every American looks at it and condemns him. Give that man the chair.

How is that not the end of it? What does that have to do with me? What does that have to do with Target? Seriously, what? "Man does awful thing and everyone in America agrees it is awful".

Seems like good news to me. Seems like that is the system working as intended.

You can absolutely make the case it isn't about him, it's about systemic racism by police. Fine. Obviously, anecdotal evidence from 1 racist cop isn't enough to do that, and the stats do not support the claim whatsoever.

Ghost chasing protests. Something bad happened. Everyone agrees it is bad. Well I'm gonna go protest by stealing this flat screen. Mind boggling.

Kind of like you with Dexter Rantz or Demetrius Townsel Jr. One never made it to his 20s, the other never made it to his teens. By your own standard you are applying, since you didn't speak out about, you are ok with it.

Get back to me when you get over your selective outrage.

They are frauds. Most don't care about a black guy getting murdered, they only care when they can blame the bad evil racist white cops

Can’t believe all these folks just standing around with their phones out and bro this bro that at the police instead of keeping the cop from killing someone.
Dims don’t know how to have a peaceful protest, and they aren’t called looters or protesters, they’re called criminals.

It’s a vicious cycle..... blacks are stereotyped by the cops due to bad behavior by a small percentage of black folks......cops brutalize some black folks..... then a small percentage of black folks riot and act like a bunch of wild ass hooligans.... stereotyping themselves as criminals ..... wash.... rinse.... repeat
