If Maymon comes back 100% this will be a very good season.

Rob Lewis on Barton being a better fit...

I think I agree with you Navy. Defensively, it's such a much better fit it's hard to even quantify IMO. I don't think Barton is great playmaker, but then again neither was Golden, and getting Maymon back will alleviate some of those responsibilities from the PG spot anyway. I think it could be a really good fit.

Barton told me that from the first time he spoke with Martin during the process that Zo emphasized how much he needed some toughness at the point guard spot.

I'm excited and very happy he's coming. I think he made the best decision even if I take my Vol hat off.

I'll always remember Trae as a Vol. That Texas A&M game was terrific and he laid it all out there. I hate whatever it is that happened to him. I know he loved his teammates.

Here are the three point percentages Barton 42 percent 100 of 240 in his career at Memphis, McRae 35 percent as a junior, Thompson 39 percent as a high school senior, and Hubbs 37 percent as a senior. If they all can shoot 35 percent or better we'll win a lot of games. 35 percent three point shooting gets you the same points as shooting 52 percent of two point field goals.

Thank you! I'm all orange even in my heart. I hurt for kids who make mistakes and still care about them. I'll be rooting for Trae, unless he somehow plays against us.

I'm so ready to get back to the tournament.

Can't wait to see Barton go up against Memphis State. When we beat them, Tiger nation will be ready to in full melt down mode. I figure we get match up with them early in the big tourney.

It may be that, but I was thinking he was excited for his brother because he sees that things worked out perfectly for him to come in and be the man, as with the other schools not so much. Could be a little of both actually.

I'd say he's happy Antonio is gonna get a chance to showcase his abilities on a big stage.

Do we play them this year? Somehow I thought that series was over until the schools could negotiate something new.
